Confirmed with customer service that overnight stays are allowed. Very quiet Walmart to spend a few nights whilst visiting Halifax. There’s a seperate lot next to their main parking lot where lots of rigs can fit. Not the usual shopper noise as they use the main lot. Lights turn off after the store closes (after 11pm) so it’s dark! Better than most Walmarts. Lots of other rigs overnight so very safe. You can get OK wifi from Canadian Tire or Home Depot depending on where you park.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
men working outside my door this morning. They were putting up a "No OverNight Parking" sign on the lightpole beside me(picture included). Apparently someone burnt their RV and left it there....so another one bites the dust.
Report Check-InNo problem at this location, very quiet. About 6 rigs when I was there, parked furthest from the storefront. What I would recommend, and what would be better is to park in the completely empty and dark lot to the side near Home Depot. No customer drive bys, no noise.
Report Check-InMultiple other overnighters. Definitely one of the nicer WM parking lots I’ve overnighted in. Slept like I was in my own room.
Report Check-InWalmart parking Lot. some other people sleep in cars, vans etc here..it's ok
Report Check-InSpent night at far end of Walmart parking lot. Several others camping there as well. Seems like a popular spot. Nicer than most Walmart parking lots. Walmart isn’t 24 hrs but Tim Hortons in Dartmouth Crossing opens at 5am.
Report Check-InA Walmart like any other. A lot of people staying in this large parking lot from large RV’s to cars. Most to the left of the store (when looking at the store). Uneventful night.
Report Check-InVery good Walmart to spend a night near Halifax. Several other campers here today.
Report Check-InQuiet night, went undisturbed. Large parking lot with ample space for large rigs.
Report Check-InDefinitely preferred this Walmart over the one in central Halifax, despite the $1 toll to cross the bridge. Much quieter, much darker, much more privacy, much more grass for dogs to use the bathroom. You are very exposed at the other Walmart.
Report Check-InEverything as stated.
Only thing is the amount of trash lying around(bottles full of pee etc.), please keep it clean!
Very quite place to stay for a few days. We slept also at the parking lot next to the main parking area with some other RVs and trucks.
