Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Parking not permitted here.

WARNING! Flash floods reported in this location. Please use caution - This is serious!

On the industrial side of town away from all the houses, there is a gravel road off main street that takes you right to the waterfront. You get a great view of the canal and mountains on either side and it's quiet at night. Around 8am, sightseeing helicopter tours leave from the airport and fly overhead. Trucks drive along dyke road but you're just far enough to not hear their brakes.
This spot is beautiful and we spent a few nights here.

Latest Check-Ins

NO PARKING HERE. We pulled in, appears to be a staging yard for off loaded cargo. Someone immediately came over to say it is a busy area with 18 wheel trucks in and out. He said “I heard it said somewhere online RVs could park here - not correct.”

Report Check-In

Not a good Karma on this spot, checked it out and as said lower level is within the reach if the tides and the upper level seems to belong to a company. Lots of equipment, trucks, excavator and all kinds off machinery. Did not stay and do not recommend to stay.

Report Check-In

Good spot ans Nice view for a night with orher RVs.

Report Check-In

As described, but one should park at the "upper level", as the " lower level" is subject to tides !

Nous y avons passé la nuit et motorisé de 22 pieds et un autre en tente. La marée monte jusqu’au pneu, sans plus. Très calme. Belle endroit

Perfect spot. Far enough from the highway it’s nice and quiet over night. Even in the morning didn’t notice much traffic about, just the odd truck.

Report Check-In

nice scenic spot, we stayed there on a Saturday night so no trucks or industrial vehicles around but seems to be a popular spot for locals, a couple of cars came randomly and stayed for a bit before leaving, even some guys on their motocross, but apart from that the view is great and it is very close to town

Report Check-In

Ended up staying here. Very quiet at night after the trucks hauling pipeline sections stop. Just the noise of the gorgeous waterfall on the opposite side.

Bonne place pour une nuit pour rester près de la ville
