There are several more or less flat camping possibilities on the van zyl pass, but it is nice to end up here to enjoy sunset. Really nice view point with 360 view.
we decided not to camp on the lookout because we have a rooftop tent and it was little bit windy and we set up the camp down before the lookout.
In the end 1h after sunset the wind stopped but we enjoyed breakfast on the lookout.
Perfect spot before driving down into the valley! Quiet, in the morning 2 sheppard passed but did not say anything.
