Private Property. PERMANENTLY CLOSED. I have seen too much of this lately. The entire Manitoulin Island is privately owned. Go to a legit camping site. Most landowners in this area will charge people for trespassing.

Nous nous sommes stationné du côté du parc municipal, il ne semble pas y avoir d’affiche ici qui interdit « l’overnight parking » toutefois face a nous de l’autre côté il y a une affiche

10:15 pm, while sleeping, 2 OPP police officers knock heavily at our door. They do not speak friendly. “You are not allowed to camp here! You did not see the sign?” they asked rudely. After negotiations, we were allowed to stay until early the next morning. “Where can we park!” we asked. “It is forbidden to camp anywhere but in campgrounds in Manitoulin island!” was their answer….We got out of the island the morning after…

A beautiful spot to camp for the night. We watched the sunset over the North Channel while eating our dinner then walked along the shore. Swimming and fishing. We parked our 31 ft motorhome with livestock trailer easily in the parking lot. Plenty of room. We parked on the asphalt parking lot and we're not disturbed. Short walk to lovely downtown and marinas.

a big municipal park with toilets & swimming, another rv joined and we had a quiet night undisturbed

Report Check-In

Great spot for overnight. We spent one night here, no problems. Just don't park on the gravel part. Good flush toilets, nice beach for swimming.

Report Check-In

Parked and made dinner, picnic tables scattered around fields. Clean flushable washrooms. Drinking water refill station on the side of the building for water bottles we managed to fit our 3 gallon jug. "No overnight parking" sign on the gravel and fences blocking other areas for vehicles. We chose to park somewhere else for the night.

Report Check-In

A sign has been put up saying no overnight camping on the gravel side. we ended up camping at the Cup and Saucer trail head which was great.

Report Check-In

Very quiet place to stay.
There is a "no parking overnight" panel on the right but it seems to be for the gravel. No trouble for us, there were an other van near us and it was ok.
However, no water and no washroom during this season.

Report Check-In

Huge gravel/asphalt parking that seems ok for overnight. We were alone and we saw a police car at some point and they didn’t say anything. But the smaller gravel parking lot on the right has a sign no camping no overnight.

Great spot for 1 night or more.
Place pretty busy during the day but almost empty during the night.
Picnic tables available, washrooms available too but they closed at 08:00PM.
You have also a sink with potable water.
You can enjoy this spot and swim !
