Description

Parking area for the Illinois and Michigan State Trail trailhead. There are toilets but that's about it. Some traffic but far enough off the beaten path.

small parking lot next to residential area

Report Check-In

Not for roof top camping. too many locals. Looking for another place nearby.

Great quiet place, little parking but great for vans! Nice little picnic table with charcoal bbq next to it!

Report Check-In

The bridge is closed, the Dellos Road side (the side without a house nearby) seems to be the better choice. The parking is for a Park that closed at sunset (and has an alcohol ban) - we (rooftop tenters) moved on. Looks OK for Van or RV.

Report Check-In

There are two parking lots. One on each side of the canal. The one saved is about 100 yards from someone's home. I would expect not to be welcomed. 3 minute drive around the block to other parking. No homes, but will have semi truck often after sunrise. Was actually very quiet and no issues!

Report Check-In

Just a warning. The location is fine for one night. However, we had fireworks and rocks thrown at our rig which caused damage. They drove by three times to get their point across and we left.

Pretty chill place. There is a little waterfall in the canal nearby and bathrooms (though I didn’t use them). If you park on the north side of the canal it’s on a dead end road so there really wasn’t much traffic at night. Some trucks start coming by at around 5am though. The south side is near a house. Bathrooms are on the south side though so you have to cross a bridge to get there.

No signs prohibiting overnight parking. Not sure what local laws are but had no trouble

a small parking lot before a trail. Quite busy with lots of traffic. Not very private but good enough for one night.
