Nice place but busy in summer. Close to beautiful Spokane and next to the river. Some full hook ups, water and nice restrooms. 32 dollars for primitive site.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The campground was clear and the sites had good spacing. But, one thing to note is that because of winter hours the check-in process should be followed on your receipt. The cost for the winter camping was $30 and no other passes were required. It was also fairly close to Spokane and was easy to get to from the highway.
Report Check-InAbout 15 camp sites are still open in the winter. $25/night. When we were there over the weekend we still only saw one other car. The information center is mostly closed but the bathrooms are open, lit and heated. Close enough to Spokane that you'll have good cell service regardless of carrier.
Report Check-InOpen and available sites but filled up by 7pm. Not all sites can fit an RV/trailer. $25 for basic site. Serves the need for a camp fire and night of sleep. Nice walks along the River, slight odor from the water reclamation station just up the road. I’ve stayed her several times as it’s a convenient in-between from WA to MT
Report Check-InBathrooms were super clean, surprised to only see 1 shower and tokens (very few WA State still use tokens... nice keepsake though).
Just a stop through for me. Verizon 4G, 2 lonely bars- no way I could work/video conference with that. But planning out the next leg of the trip, IG and light uploading was OK.
I was in site 33, tent. I chose it purposely so I wouldn't annoy people as I left in the early, early am... so it was first one next to the road. I wouldn't advise it unless in a van though.
The campground is very well taken care of clean and quiet, nice getaway. We saw a deer on our morning walk while enjoying the fall colors
Report Check-InWe arrived late afternoon and we're given the last spot. We paid $45 for a powered and watered site, which was a little unfair considering the main dump station was closed due to a blockage. The sites are big and set wide apart, very pretty campsite with a lovely cold swimming river. If you stay, take advantage of the many walking and biking tracks as the whole park is absolutely stunning.
I consider this park pretty pricey, even though it is clean and pretty. On our way out in the morning we drove past RVs parked on rest stops just past the entrance on N Aubrey L White parkway/W Downriver Drive, with fab views down to the river.
Great for a night. Arrived after 6 and got put in disabled site right by toilets-this site becomes available after 6 if hasnt been booked (not sure an rv would fit in this site). showers and flush toilets in upper - showers require $$ so didnt use. $32 for no services site - this price includes the discovery pass. nice bridge/trail across river.
Report Check-InShowers are cold, require tokens that you can only purchase with $1 and $5 bills.
Report Check-InPeaceful under ponderosa pines. Unique to Washington state. Super kind, hard working camp hosts. Flexible rangers and staff. Two areas of campground are much different. Riverside camping is glamorous. Upper campground is more hood. Bathrooms are very nice. Showers are cold. Super near Spokane so easy access (10 min drive) to city amenities.
Report Check-InOnline it looked closed for winter so we stayed at cabelas then drove down here and saw it was open and empty but they said only one spot was open?? I saw dozens empty. Flush toilets, 1 bar Verizon, 35$ for electric 25$ no hookups still. Also need discovery pass. Rec.gov wasn't working properly. No surprise there. Self pay station and campsite host still here dec 1st
