Great location north of town right ON the beach. Clean toilets, $35/night. Awesome sunsets too.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Soooo windy!! The selling point of this campground is the proximity to the beach...we were here at the end of June, and it was so windy it was close to unbearable. Luckily had some trees/shrubs to block it but not exactly the beach camping we were looking for.
Report Check-InGood campground for access to the ocean and sunlight. It was pretty windy during the day when we were here but died down around sunset. Kind of expensive for camping in a parking lot with no showers (have to go to Morro Bay State Park for that) but it is what it is. Great sunset views.
Winds primarily out of the northwest so if you can get site 13 there are shrubs about the height of a vehicle to protect you during the day, they won't keep the wind off a rooftop tent though FYI.
Report Check-InNice campground. Didn’t see showers. $35 for basic site. $50 for full hookups. Most spots are flat and can fit 2 vehicles. Beautiful sunset. Dogs not allowed on beach.
Report Check-InPretty ok campground next to the beach. The un-even spots are closest to the beach. You cannot see the beach from most spots though so in that sense it doesn’t matter too much which spot you get.
Spots are close together so no privacy and if somebody uses a generator you’ll be pretty deaf. Luckily those are not allowed after 8pm.
Still $35 for a basic spot (plus the $8 online fee). So really $43. Kind of expensive for what it is, but many of these California beach spots charge that much or more.
Beach itself is nice. Not too busy.
Verizon reception was great. Got better speeds on it than the parks wifi.
Oh and no dump station is a bummer.
Report Check-InGreat beach campground. Verizon internet is flying.
Back row of RVs is almost full. Tent sites are almost empty. $35.
Perfect winter day of driving from Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park to here.
Horses, kite flying, surfers. Fun park!
Report Check-InI didnt like this campground. Toilets are dirty, no soap, cold water. It looks more like a parking lot than a camping. no privacy at all. It is not worth 35$
Report Check-InWe came after the office was closed. There was a sign in the registration office that there are couple spots left for self registration (from the front it said campground full, but we walked around the back and there it was) we had to write our own number down, put 35$ in the envelope and hand it to the camp host. Place was alright for one night. Clean restroom, right by the beach. Beautiful sunset!! Safe for two young woman sleeping in the car
Report Check-InVery safe for a female solo traveler. spigots to fill water and other amenities. People are chill fee is $35. Easy access to the beach.
Report Check-InDecent place for an overnight, but pricey for the fact there’s no showers……
Report Check-Inyup $35, free wifi, clean bathrooms with cold h2o, No showers. quite open. ocean just over the dune. some beach access closed by mesh fence. got a spot due to cancellation on Sat after Th giving.
Report Check-Inok for an overnight, it is a parking lot. steps from a nice beach. no dump station.
Report Check-InStayed one night. Its more like a parking lot then a campground. Potable water was yellow. So check before you fill up.
Report Check-InExcellent place to stay for the night. Sites look more like parking spots in a lot but excellent, easy beach access and each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Would also be great to dock up here for the day if you want to surf and hang out out.
Report Check-InGreat place right on the beach! U have full hookups or nothing! It is quiet! Toilets only, no showers! We paid $50 for full hookup, no hookup $35!
It’s not easy to find a place next to the beach, so we liked it, but not cheap!
Great location north of town right ON the beach. Clean toilets, $35/night. Awesome sunsets too.
