Great place for before or after the ferry. If they are closed, go in and choose a site and pay in the morning. Water, showers, flush toilets, and dry toilets. WiFi at the rangers house. Nice walk to the beach and a 4 x 4 track to the point.
Tent $20.15 Electric $30.90 day pass $10. If you have the yearly Labrador pass, it is included. Nice park with wind protection and lots of privacy. About 30 minutes to the ferry dock.

Awesome park. It was a nice welcome after the ferry. Got a chance to refresh before going on our NewFoundLand adventure. Highly recommend
Report Check-InTypical provincial park. RV sites close together. I was so impressed with how clean the restrooms were, spotless (like eat off the floor clean) great place to stop to or from the Port-aux-Basques ferry.
Report Check-InBoil water advisory when we stopped in Sep 11. We arrived with an empty tank since the previous Prov Park in Nova Scotia (Mira Lake) also had a boil water advisory. The nice lady at the check in office told us they "recommended" to not consume the water. I felt like we were supposed to read between the lines of that statement, like maybe it was ok, but she just didn't want to commit. The road driving in was terrible with potholes, we had to pay a park entry pass fee, it just seemed wrong to have to pay an additional fee to camp with no water.
An email from the Park Service advising of the boil water advisory woukd have been nice!
The campground is convenient to the ferry, about 13 minutes, so it is a good option.
Report Check-InI came here to hike and take a shower, I didn't camp overnight. Day pass is $10, but if you purchase a season pass it's $50 for all provincial parks in NL, then you can visit as many times as you want and take shower. That's the one I got. They said most provincial parks have shower, as well as driking water and sewage dump. There's strong cell coverage and data signal from Telus at the beach, but no coverage at all at the campground. However, you can get wifi at the ranger station.
Report Check-InImportant to know the water is *not* potable here. Every sink and fill station has signs saying the water has to be brought to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute before use.
otherwise this campsite is fine, somewhat buggy this time of year. There's a beach within the park 2km down the road from the campsites. Our campsite (site 18) backed up to the brook down below and you could see the waterfall from it. We paid around $36 CAD including the park entrance fee for a primitive site.
Report Check-InA nice provincial park campground with staff that you can tell care about the place. Bathrooms with showers, cleaning kitchen, and laundry machines. Pretty dunes at the beach and rocky river running through the campground. It was VERY windy overnight but otherwise quiet.
Report Check-InThe Park Office had a closed sign but the sites were all accessible so we drove through the campsite. The water and power was turned off for the season but we stayed the night thinking maybe would be there in the morning. We were still the only ones their so we ended up getting a free night of camping. It was a great spot for catching the ferry in the morning.
There’s a nice waterfall in the campground and several people drive through the campsite to get to go to the beach for sunset which is 2 km away.
