Caretaker Abraham is a nice clever guy..had good talk with him about world politics..the place is well kept. No litter..road to reach is bad but the place itself super
Report Check-InOne of only a very few campsites around. Nice open area dedicated for camping next to park offices. Flush toilets and basin available at offices, very clean. No formal showers, however you can use the nearby waterfall (walking distance) to shower which is very nice and refreshing. Not sure how hygienic or env. friendly this is, but it is a highlight. Lots of locals passing through that make some noise during the day, but at night the sound of the rapids makes up for it. See photo attached for prices.
Report Check-InVery clean ablution - next to the reception. Firewood that is enough for a week and absolute friendly people everywhere. We feel comfortable! Recommendation!
Report Check-InFor visiting the falls (without camping) it is 10 US$pp. We paid 300 Kwacha. The falls are beautiful. It was Idependace Day and many locals enjoyed the falls with us.
Report Check-InQuite a nice waterfall in 2 cascades. Up the falls the locals are washing huge bag’s of clothes and other things. The water down in the pool don’t looks very clean. Some rubbish around the falls especially at the weekends. The camping area are not special. Absolutions are run down no running water.
Report Check-InComments as per others still applicable. Very open campsite and thank goodness the waterfall cool ypu down. Some 100m from the campsite. Lot of local people walking around but friendly and respectful so really no issue. Caretaker Peter is a gem and really welcoming. We negotiated to 300kwatcha as no running water due to pump not running(no diesel). Free firewood and nighttime is great. Peter made the place great but if you are in a tent then you spend most of the time at the water.
Report Check-InNice place and Abraham the attendant excellent company and good English. Spent an entire evening with him discussing Zambia. There are local
About but no problems and one of them
Sold me some chicanda. A description of a field and jo shade setting is incorrect but it’s also not a forest. There are about 9 trees in the small camping area The tallest 25-30 ft tall.
Lovely falls but we did not stay here due to heavy downpoor. Campsite is an open field, zero privacy or shade.
Report Check-Inso far, everything OK, clean and maintained. But Lokals should pay for camping 33KW and Foreigner 15 USD, actually 250 KW.
Report Check-InWe agree with the initial comments. We liked the place. It is tidy, the toilets are clean, the care taker is really welcoming.
In April the waterfall has a lot of water and swimming is excellent.
Ok not so much shade at the campground but we have a solar panel on the roof and it was perfect for us.
Not so nice campsite. Almost no shade and a lot of locals around the waterfall. Your only shower is under the waterfall, toilet is in the building.
They tried to charge us the $15 pppn but we negotiated it down. This waterfall and campsite is not worth that price. When you don't need a receipt more things are possible.
