Description

Near the back entrance/exit of Arches off of Salt Valley Rd. Take the two-track north east towards the rock face. Flat ground for tent or car/camping. Bring your gear if you're a climber and fire ring is next to some beautiful stone. Not much for shade. Quiet. Off the beaten path. Amazingly scenic.

beautiful spot, road coming in doesn't even get bumpy till the last mile or two, surprisingly fast att service

I didn't make it all the way to the site. I got stuck in sand about half a mile before the GPS pin and had to spend the night there. Took about 3 hours to dig out this morning. I'd recommend anyone without a 4WD to grab any of the numerous flat spots along the road in.

Great spot! Drove in from the Arches NP side. Made it just fine in 2wd vehicle. Place is as described. Large spot for multiple vehicles with two fire rings. No shade, except early morning hours as the sun rises. Grass around the site is very overgrown, perhaps hasn’t been used in a couple months.
There is another road path to the left of this site that goes to another site that is, as described, a little more intimate. It has a tree that provides shade in the afternoon/evenings when the sun starts to set. Small fire ring. A path up the rocks to view the land and beauty that goes on for miles and miles. Very quiet, peaceful and so beautiful.

Beautiful campsite off the road, pretty quiet. Almost no shade, can get pretty windy due to no trees being around. this particular campsite can hold a group of cars but there is another site off this road that is a smaller and more intimate that does have a few trees for shade.

Absolutely gorgeous. Drove in dark with F150 pulling a Bean Teardrop. Slow in places but no problem. We stopped before the coordinates given. Would have been a sharp uphill with road we couldn't handle (or didn't want to). Large, flat, gorgeous. We think the coordinates are N 38.51519 W 109.44436.

Big place for group camping! Two fire pits, definitely a long rocky drive back but the location is completely worth it! Watch out for cacti though they’re kinda all over. Super happy and would make it out to this spot again.

Perfectly flat. Good AT&T service. Cows mooing in the background.

we didn't make it all the way to this spot, not due to the road or anything, but due to seeing a great flat spot and taking it. cannot speak to what's further down the road, but we loved this spot. tucked away in the hills and mountains - beautiful views all around, saw a bunch of wildlife + the cows, and the stars were incredible... highly suggest ya head here if ya plan on going to Arches! free & lovely

Report Check-In

Easy road in, some washboards but not bad. Made it in with a fwd van. Bring your bouldering pad for sure. Lots of other good spots in the area as well so don't worry if this one is full. Good AT&T and Sprint signal.

Great spot with a nice view of the valley looking North. Turn around makes it easy to get in and out.

Report Check-In

beautiful secluded spot nestled in the rocks.

Report Check-In

The road getting here is very muddy, we had to turn around and go back to another spot for fear of getting stuck. We were in a Ram pro 3500 with winter tires.
