Beautiful spot and private kind of. Got in because the gate was open but got locked in as it’s closed until June 1. I wouldn’t recommend anything bigger than a van as the roads a bit dicey on the way up but going slow in our transit we had not issues. Great spot if you have dogs.

Great spot just off the dirt road. Made it easily in our Honda accord 2wd. Stayed 2 nights, no problem. Quiet road, plenty of dispersed spots around this area. Running springwater nearby. Will be back for sure.

Camped here for a night and it was very nice! Lots of separate turnoffs. The street is a little busy but not too bad. It was nice to have a private turnoff and be able to walk to see a nice view. I had cell service. The trail is easy for even for 2w drive.

Road closed, gate locked for the winter season.

Lots of camping spots along Mill Creek Road. 14 days limit. Some spots have good verizon and/or at&t others dont. Watch out for mosquitoes.

Nice peaceful spot. The gps coordinates were a little off but there are a few different spots to camp at. Drive slow the bumps are hard to see on the road.

The road to this place is closed in winter, until April 30.

Beautiful spot right outside of a quiet neighborhood. Just off a road with very light traffic. Plenty of space to spread out.

Great spots here. Be careful on the road, the dirt/sand is light colored so it's a little harder to see the dips. I was fine in my 4x4 sedan no problem. On a weekday everyone is pretty spread out and I found a spot easily. I'm not sure if I was supposed to specifically be at a spot with a yellow sign or if it's this whole area, but I choose a pull in and parked more than 200' from the creek and had a fine time tent camping. Would recommend!

Great camp spots! For vans, car sleepers, and tents. I spent a few days here a couple weeks ago and I had to make my way back through the area and decided to stay again. Road is a bit bumpy with potholes in some spots but I came up in a Nissan Versa. Vehicles in and out all through the day along with dirt bikes and mountain bikers, but mostly quiet after sunset until sunrise. There are some hiking/mountain biking trails throughout. I hiked to the river that runs through and it was dried up at the area I found. The sign at the entrance says road closed in winter to preserve road, and I believe adventure pass is only required Nov 1 - April 30 for winter activities.

Road with a gate closed for winter. Slept at the indicated spot nearby

Stayed here on a Sunday and Monday. Stayed in my Sprinter plenty of room to park. Easy drive up, some potholes. Got a lake view. Unbothered. Some cars go up the dirt road. Ranger drove by and didn’t say anything. Can get to this place in the dark, w 2WD np.

I got a nice little spot with the view of the lake. It's beautiful. I only camped out for one night in my Prius. I'm sure I will be back!

I visited in June 2020. I think you’re supposed to purchase an “adventure pass” to stay here. Although, I’m not 100% sure since I visited while COVID and no one was selling adventure passes during this time.

I was confused by “yellow post” verbiage. I’m not sure if you can only stay if there is a yellow post. Although, I didn’t really see any yellow posts so you might want to clarify what exactly a yellow post is. I stayed here for 2 nights and both night there were tents/RVs in just about every possible camping area. Rangers drove by on this road multiple times and I didn’t have any issues staying here.

The road in has a lot of potholes and a lot of overgrown trees. I wouldn’t take anything bigger than a class B along this road unless you don’t mind tree scratches. Maybe all the overgrown trees will be cleaned up once COVID is over.

AT&T reception: 2 bars / decent reception
Verizon reception: 1-2 bars / limited reception

This is a perfect area to leave your RV and go for a hike or mtn bike ride.

From an image that I took of a map posted a bit further along this road (past the coordinates posted), it looks like this area might be called South Shores.

Nice forest with a small creek. You can’t park within 250 feet of the water; the area has lots of campsites, so just find one not too close to the creek.
