Description

Free RV parking in downtown area. LL Bean parking lots do not allow RV parking or overnights. Space for 9’ish RV or vans. We parked there for free concert. Talked to people staying there and they had stayed a night or 2 previously without issue. LL Bean stores are open 24 hours for bathrooms and only couple blocks away.

Just search for RV Parking on Google maps which is right next to LLBean Outlet store. The sign says no camping and vehicles parked for more than 24 hours will be towed. There are bathrooms open 24/7 at the LLBean retail store (Outlet store closes). There are plenty of spots for big rigs and vans. Wifi available in the Freeport Village Station which is where the Outlet store is but it doesn't reach the RV Parking area.

great spot for the night. L.L. Bean open 24 hours with nice bathrooms. Also great shops in the area. Bunch of other campers and rvs. we had our van in an "overflow" lot with a few others. pretty quiet.

Report Check-In

Nice quite spot. Look forward to shopping LL Bean in the am.

Report Check-In

RV parking , Ok for big rig (ours is 34ft). No amenities but free rest room in LL Bean shop. parking Ok for 24h, but "no camping" sign (see picture) so we didn't put slides out.

5 vans and 3 travel trailers here tonight. Delightful spot to spend the night. Sign says no parking over 24 hours.

Report Check-In

As described by others. Sadly, like many other places these day here and on other RV overnight parking apps and websites, there are many people sleeping in cars too. Many look homeless so always be aware of your surroundings and move more distance or leave altogether if you feel unsafe.

Report Check-In

All as described. Please ABIDE by the rules and common RV overnight parking etiquette - NO CAMPING!!! It's a PARKING space to be in overnight, not a campground.

Tonight there are a bunch of RVs, including 2 next to each other who decided it was okay to bring out the camping chairs and form a circle with the chairs campsite style under a tree to interact. The only thing missing was the campfire.

The posted sign clearly states no camping, so why disregard and disrespect it?

My go-to spot when visiting the area. Plenty of space despite being a summer weekend. I spent three nights here, but was gone during the day. Lot is not perfectly level. Class B's can also probably fit in the lot to the north if it's crowded.

Report Check-In

Free RV parking just down from LLBEAN and near the Amtrak Station. Quiet and the town is lovely to walk. Several areas for coffee and breakfast and LL Bean has its own LOBSTER bisque cafe attached to the Bike and Boat building.

Report Check-In

Bright. safe overnight RV parking. Anout a dozen rigs there, everyone respectful, quite quiet. Do you even hear trains anymore? 😆
How smart for the Town of Freeport to offer this. Because of course I spent money at the shops. and dinner and breakfast. If I don't pay for a campsite I spend in town.

Report Check-In

As advertised, quiet safe and convenient. Got there around 10pm on a Friday and left around 8am after walking the dogs and picking up some Starbucks which is a block away. Great spot.

Report Check-In

Clearly signed area for RV parking, with a new sign this year stating that vehicles left for over 24 hours will be towed. Not very level unless you are furthest down hill, but always a good spot.

Report Check-In

We've stayed here several times on our way to northern Maine. It always is quiet and we feel safe. usually there are a handful of other people staying the night as well. There is a sign stating a 24h limit or you will be towed, but we have never stayed that long. We had full 5g with TMobile.

Report Check-In

we stayed here last night. we are well insulated, so the highway noise and train didn't really bother us.

Report Check-In

still good. very quiet. no amenities but tons of shops/cafes around.

Report Check-In

What a great find! I don’t have anything new to add other than it’s still here. Spent the night with about 10 other RVs and vans. Close to shops and restaurants.

Report Check-In

As advertised. 6-8 RV on site. Paved and no issues.

Report Check-In

Stayed here last night. There were probably 15-20 RV’s. It was a quiet night, but around 4 a.m a train did pass by. And, at 6 a.m the garbage dumpsters were emptied very noisily. Maybe just a Friday morning thing.
Close to all the shopping.

Great spot for our truck and slide in camper. Very quiet, many others shared the evening with us.

One perma-camper (or maybe he's the Campground Host) and multiple other big and small rigs tonight in this reliable free spot near LLBean in downtown Freeport. Safe, quiet, and near many shops and restaurants. Next to quaint little Amtrak station.

Report Check-In

Great place to stay for the night. I got her at 8pm on a Wednesday and there were already 12 other vehicles. Most were gone by 9am the next morning. There are bathrooms in the community center or at the outlet center. Also free wifi and the outlet mall. Felt safe and had no problems all night.

We were driving southbound from Bangor area. We were looking for something not a WalMart and boy did Freeport deliver! There were about 6-7 other folks here, class A, B, and C campers, trailers, even a couple of cars with privacy curtains. It was very clean and peaceful even though it was memorial day weekend and it was in a fairly populated area. We will be back and we highly recommend it!

Great night here. Occasional train. Quiet and close to conveniences

Report Check-In

Great place to park. Nearby amenities, public restroom open during business hours. Lots of space and no one to bug you.

Report Check-In

A couple came late and were pretty noisy and then also pretty noisy in the morning. I try to treat parking like this like I do when I camp and follow basic quiet hours. It’s obviously not enforced, just appreciated. There’s also a lot of people in one small area here so you can hear everything. Just something to keep in mind for others :)

Report Check-In

Quiet lot adjacent to Freeport train station. Shady, near restaurants, very quiet.

Report Check-In

as described :) stayed for one night.

Two other RVs, no issues for a night. Nothing special, it's just a parking spot. No wifi. Flush toilet open until 7pm, but there's also a porta toilet.

Report Check-In

Stayed for two nights in the lot across from the RV parking since we have a van that fits in a normal parking spot. There were about 5ish RVs in the RV lot across. A train went by and was loud - the other RVs starting up early in the am were loud but overall it was clean, quiet and close to all of the shops!

Report Check-In

We parked for 3 nights in the lot adjacent to the RV-Only lot (we’re in a van that fits in a normal parking spot).
Great spot to explore the area (we took day trips to Freeport, Harpswell, Brunswick) and LL Bean.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet spot for the night... probably 15-20 other RV's in the lot with us. One or two trains rolled by overnight, but wasn't disruptive. Right in the heart of downtown so walked down to a cafe for breakfast.
