Jefferson street has alot of free, unrestricted parking but it’s really busy. This street connects to Jefferson but is quiet, flat, feels cleaner, and still is unrestricted free parking.

20min walk to downtown, 5min bike.

Riopelle or Orleans are both good option. No meters/permits, but stealth recommended. In front of residences. Block or two away from park in quiet area. No rigs or trailers.

Quiet at night, felt safe. Right next to the William Millken State Park so was able to run and workout and enjoy the river and view of Canada in the morning.

Apparently no one else has every stayed in their van in Detroit.

20min walk to downtown, 5min bike. I’ll be searching downtown tomorrow for good van spots. Tonight’s my first night here and I’m ready for bed.
