Just off NR-2220 a little ways after the road winds up to the left, take the first left you see (this road wasn’t on Google Maps or the map the Ranger Station provided to us). This road offers three defined spots and ends at the third spot. All three spots have fire rings. Unfortunately the last group here left a huge mess; please pack it out!!

Okay, I felt this spot needed some updating... it does still exist, but it's a bit different than described from the earlier comments. A bit overgrown and neglected since then, but still suitable. Firstly, we came in a Tacoma 4x4, and we use Gaia Maps for navigation. Roads did not require 4x4 or the high clearance even in the rain. And, I included some map screenshots to help explain WHERE the 3 sites are, bc I think that's changed over the years, too. (Also people mentioning fairly large rigs, but based on what I saw, I wouldn't take anything much bigger than our Tacoma on these narrow and overgrown roads.) The turn off does show up on Gaia, but the roads aren't nearly as long in real life as they are on the map. The first "site" will be a turn off to your left. There was a downed tree preventing us from driving to it, but upon walking to it, it was just a small fire ring where the road now ends due to overgrowth, and it was muddy and narrow. The second site was a pull off, cleared, and with a fire ring. Not too muddy, and obviously intended to be a campsite. This is where we stayed. And the third site is another end-of-the-roader, but with much more space and intention. A clear fire ring, fire wood around, also obviously meant to be a campsite. The roads to the 3 sites I marked are all overgrown, some more than others. It's small, thin branches, so no real damage to be expected, but you might bring your clippers if you care about such things. Overall, it was a quiet and secluded place to spend a night or two... just needed an updated descrip. :)
Report Check-InNo issues getting up there. Some downed trees here and there but easily avoided.
Report Check-In3 great spots, the first one is level and could fit an RV. Tons of firewood all around. There's a creek 1km further east on 2220 if you need water.
Report Check-InFound the '2nd' site and it was nice. I cleaned up the fire ring and had a nice fire. Good size area for a tent. Easy to find as mentioned.
