Description

Historic 30 Wahkeena Falls trail parking lot. Very quiet area Only noise was a train close by. very little traffic. there were no- “ no overnight parking" signs Wahkeena Falls, Wahkeena Trail #420, Corbett, OR 97019. AT&T signal was LTE and took a long time to load. Verizon mobile router worked well. 4G. Take Bridal Veil exit, otherwise GPS took me to Multnomah Falls pull off in the middle of the highway and not nearly as cozy.

Latest Check-Ins

The main parking lot to Wahkeena Falls that has the road running right through it. The lot on the side of the Falls has smaller spots only suitable for regular vehicles, but on the other side, the spots are longer and I could fit my 24’ camper. There is a lower lot that has signs that say no camping and is not suitable for anything bigger than a regular van or car. No signs on the main lot. Was very quiet considering the road runs right through the lot. The train you can hear too. Was very busy in the afternoon, but in the evening it was just me. Stayed 1 night.

Arrived late and did the hike to the Fairy Falls in the morning (passes Wahkeena Falls). The parking lot was pretty busy!! The Multnomah Falls are accessible by this trail as well. Don't try to get parking at the visitor center, it's nearly impossible. The toilets were super clean with TP but still no soap like someone else mentioned. Felt safe during the night. A bit of noise from the train but nothing really major during the night. The water fountains are powerful so be careful when you press the button!

Report Check-In

Signs everywhere else for no overnight parking, but none at the lot above the park. The gate wasn’t closed while I was here, but someone did maintain the toilets because they were vandalized and clogged when I arrived and working when I woke up.
A few other vehicles stayed here overnight, and cars passed infrequently but nobody bothered me.

Report Check-In

We stayed overnight in our van. Parking lot was empty by the time we arrived. Restrooms were open and just a short walk from the parking area. Some noise from the freeway and railroad, but barely noticeable if you’re sleeping inside a van. Took a 3 hour hike in the morning, no issues when we returned. Beautiful spot, would stay here again. Great to wake up to the sound of a waterfall.

Stayed for a night and were the only ones there. Nice to hear the waterfall at night. Bathrooms were closed for the season.

really nice spot for a night! the waterfall and train going by drowned out most of the traffic noise from I-84. it can be a little scary driving the bridal veil exit route at night, it’s dark and there’s often random tree debris in the road, and it’s been pretty windy/stormy lately, so just be aware. the parking lot is usually empty, though I’ve seen other vans pull in at night. There are some random cars driving late at night with the road running straight through the lot, but nobody has ever bothered me. It does get pretty damn busy in the morning even in the winter with people hiking the gorge, but it’s a gorgeous spot to explore in the morning!

Rainy night so we had no issue with cars and train but you realise they are really close at some point ! No horn tho, better than nothing

Lovely spot for an overnight!! Can get quite busy in the mornings- we arrived at approx 7pm and it was super quiet and welcoming. Bathrooms are clean- no soap (not even dispensers!) so bring some with you or have some hand sanitizer ready. Beautiful hike, beautiful stop and will totally come back

Such a peaceful spot. You don’t hear much road noise due to the impressive sounds the waterfall makes at all times. There are bathrooms with running water! There’s also a drinking fountain and spigot in the day use area below. The hike up the waterfall is fairly easy and beautiful. We made our breakfast and walked across the street to enjoy the waterfall while eating.

Really cool spot. Beautiful waterfall only .2 miles from the parking lot. Super refreshing on a scorching hot day. Bathrooms with running water, garbage cans, picnic tables, and lots of shade. Can get busy during the day but at night there were only two other vans staying when we did. No bugs and super peaceful to fall asleep to the sound of the stream and waterfall. Wish I had more time to utilize the trails!

Very quiet night, train passed by twice. Us and two vans slept here. Great spot close to the main highway if you’re passing through the area.

Report Check-In

Grey place for one night. Do not leave garbage and make sure you leave early so there is parking available. So in the future we still all can enjoy this glorious stop. Quiet night and no problems

Report Check-In

Bathrooms and other facilities closed for the winter, but Multnomah Falls bathrooms/water open 1/4 mile away. The lot is not large and the road runs right through it. Even so, someone pulled up and started doing donuts at night. Fortunately a sprinter van pulled up to sleep and the donut car left. Several hikers parked here early in the morning. Some mild train noise, but fortunately no horn.

Not big rig friendly! Don’t even try ! Super sketchy

Wish I could give this place a good review…. I was planning on staying the night here but when I got back from a hike on the trail I noticed the ladies car RIGHT next to me had its windows smashed. She said within the 10 minutes she was away from her car she had been robbed and everything valuable stolen. This is in broad daylight and a very popular area. Very surprised this would happen here. Extremely blessed my home was not robbed. I highly advise not staying here. If you go on hikes, bring your valuables if possible. So sad stuff like this happens… be safe everyone

Great place for the night! Right by the trailhead and a quick drive or hike away from Multnomah Falls. Bathrooms and picnic tables nearby. Some road noise but nothing too bad. Plenty of vans were there with us when I woke up early in the morning.

Report Check-In

Stayed overnight. Quiet, flat, cool breeze because of waterfall. As described by everyone, would recommend for one night.

Great spot! Beautiful, nearby hikes, beautiful waterfalls and nice sounds from the moving water. It’s also a nice shaded spot that’s cooler than others. Park nearby had bathrooms and tables and bbqs. Not great T-Mobile service but workable.

Lugar super tranquilo para passar a noite, o local tem estrutura com banheiros e área de picnic. Possui várias trilhas até as cachoeiras.

Very quiet place to spend the night, the place has structure with bathrooms and picnic area. Has several trails up to the waterfalls.

Report Check-In

As described! but nobody’s talking about the sweet day-use area that’s also right here: there are bathrooms, trash bins, picnic tables, and water spigots. Always nice to have conveniences!

Report Check-In

Small area to park right off the highway next to the wakeena trailhead. Literally 8ish spots to pull off the road diagonally into. Felt a little exposed but parked overnight and it was fine. Quiet/ the waterfall drowns out the road noise. We were the only ones there.

Report Check-In

Easy standard parking with a view of the falls. Didn’t get hassled. No amenities. Larger spot a little before it for larger r/v’s. Sounds of the waterfall drown out most train noise.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for a night, like we have before on other outings! They’ve blocked off most of the parking but there are still a few spots and we had no trouble. There are still no “no parking signs” and it was mostly quiet during the night! We took a .2 mile hike up to the waterfall in the morning with our coffee and it was pretty great.
