Something not right?

Description

Level street side parking. No signs prohibiting, several other vehicles parked up here too. Near the train tracks, so occasional noise until around 10 pm, then very quiet. 2nd night, not in a row, here. In fact the whole Whiteaker neigborhood is full of good street parking. Good AT&T signal. No amenities.

Latest Check-Ins

In Evening, cars run very fast with music. Horrible night with horning train every 30min-hour, all night. Avoid this place!

Report Check-In

Idk what the good reviews are about, when we showed up hella sketchy people/ bums that clearly live there not passing through. Decided to go to the rest stop up the highway instead of worrying if my rig will get
Broken in. Would definitely avoid.

Report Check-In

Stayed the night here and it wasn't bad. There was one van that looked like they stay here full time, and a few more on the other side of Van Buren. There is an active train track really close, so I was woken up every couple hours by them blowing their horn, otherwise it was a quick easy stop before leaving town.

Report Check-In

Definitely more transient than overland vibes here. Quite a few sidewalk tents within noise range as well. Ended up finding another spot.

Awesome spot with some other vans and RVs scattered around the block. Looks a bit sketchy if you get here at night but it’s in a pretty nice part of town with lots of nice food around. Would stay here again!

Report Check-In

Back here again. It's more crowded than before. and there are Customers Only Parking signs posted. But the big RVs are still here. I'm glad my posting helped some folks, including a couple of friends find a good space to bed down for the night. But I feel a little like I ruined it by posting the location. Something to think about before you share, especially if it is a rare and special place. Peace and level boondocking to all.

Nice spot where nobody will bother you. The train however come by at any hours of the night and is really loud. Even shook the van as it went by.
