There is a sign in the window at the visitor center : camping in our parking lot is not allowed. I had a picture of it. we decide to move.

Report Check-In

We saw the Arctic Ocean yesterday and stayed here again last night..again, no issue.
TIP: If you get the 5% discount sheet from the center here, you can use it up at Tok (where gas is a little cheaper) and they will give you another for back down here. Since right now the Fort has cheaper gas I will wait until we get there...but it's a good deal if you need it.
Happy travels.

Again, no issues staying here. We had company last night, another truck camper. when we woke up, they were already gone. A couple things I'll add to my previous entry is that this little town does not sleep, people walk and drive by at all hours. once I'm asleep I'm fine, but that may bother some people. There were hardly any mosquitos here the last couple days and out here that is hard to find. We are heading out to the ocean and might be back to stay again on the way down. Happy travels :-)

Went into the center today, very nice and small. They had free coffee. I got our Arctic Circle certificate and 5% "Bob's" coupon. This is worth the stop.

I got here late last night in a downpour (w/ thunder and lightening). Pulled into the visitor center parking lot (because it was the first place I wanted to stop) and there were no "no overnight parking" signs. I stayed last night and due to it continuing to rain all day today, we are still here (we have just been in the camper relaxing) and will sleep here again tonight. I visited the Visitor Center today and it was not an issue. We will be driving up to the Arctic Ocean tomorrow when it isn't raining (knock wood). The store is about a 10 minute walk from here (not fun in the rain though ;-). I had full T-mobile service. The visitor center had coffee when I went in and we also got our 5% coupon for "Bobs" and our Arctic circle certificate :) There is no wifi. If you stay here, please do not trash it!
