Stayed for 1 night before heading into Yellowstone which is only 15 mins away. Very calm, peaceful, and quiet. Slept like a baby. Road to get in is kind of rough but not too bad, a 2wd vehicle could probably make it with some caution. Weak service but hey, we’re in the forest

Report Check-InYep, definitely in the forest. If you want camping with a view, this ain't your place. BUT, no noise from traffic. Locals do selective logging up here so be careful on the road, they won't be. Suitable for any type of vehicle when dry, but it is bumpy so low vehicles use caution. One bar Verizon for me but seems to be pretty speedy.

Report Check-In5 miles up the gravel road into the forest, totally worth it! Refreshing tranquility after a day dodging people and cars in Yellowstone. Beautiful spot, several others nearby. Even got a thunderstorm shortly after setting up, nice! I expected to see a lot of other campers here with the park so crowded but I've only seen 2 other vehicles. Site had a level spot so no need to drag out the leveling blocks, yay!
Report Check-InMedium sized clearing. Very peaceful, in the couple days I stayed here about a half dozen vehicles passed by, several of them were forest rangers who didn’t stop. Would be a perfect spot if it were a bit further from the road,
Report Check-InWhen it says “Into the Forest”, it means into the forest. Have to drive 20 minutes on a well maintained gravel road. Actually dispersed spots are few and far between but I would say it’s usually pretty empty. Beautiful, surrounded by heavily forest but it’s a commitment for the drive.
Report Check-Intried to stay here, road is only open to motor vehicle traffic June 16 to December 1st.
