Description

Large gravel trailhead among beautiful forest. Pretty flat. Pit toilet. Very quiet, stayed here for one night with no issues. Hike to the coast for an amazing view!! Only about a mile to the coast. Very limited cell service - Verizon was in and out from the upper parking area. Good cell phone service.

Pulled in late to hike the next morning. Stayed without a problem.

pretty tight maneuvering with my 24' class c, but we got a spot. the place filled up the next morning - all parking spots full. we had a nice quiet sleep though.

Great hiking trails from parking lot. Oublis space, no issues. Flat area

Report Check-In

Nice, secluded parking 50 - 75 ft off the road. There's a uphill climb to get into the lot, so, if there's snow, ensure you have AWD. There's 6 in of snow and I wouldn't have made it without the AWD on my Outback.

There is cell service with Verizon or here... Limited bars, but haven't lost connection.

I’ve spent two nights here, hiked the wonderful loops trails. There are hike-in campsites, but rain in forecast so returned to trailhead and slept in va. Very quiet. RV pulled in next to me last night but once they settled they were quiet. Plan to stay here again tonight. Clean outhouse. No water. Decent T-Mobile.

I didn’t know where to sleep in Lubec since the one spot there is closed so I just came here, no problems. Really quiet

Hiked during the day & decided to stay for one night. Most of the parking lot cleared out at end of day except for a few cars belonging to backpackets at the remote camping sites. Another van pulled in next to us for the night also. Pit toilet & quiet.

we arrived at 9pm and both parking lots were almost full (4 spots left). some parking lot traffic early in the morning. clearly some wild camping, so no problems if you can find room. picture from 750am on tuesday morning.

Bold Coast Trailhead public lands in Cutler ME. The trail goes to the Atlantic. There are 2 parking lots. Upper and lower. There were a number of cars here. You can trail and camp so some were here all night. Good for vans. It wouldn’t work for a TT. The parking spaces are all car/truck/van size.

Split level parking lot means that you can be pretty hidden from the road. Big and flat, would fit most rigs. Pit toilet is clean, hiking trails available. The hike to the coast is quite easy and has some incredible views of waves crashing onto the rocks.

There were four other rigs also here with us (in addition to the cars of those camping at the walk-in sites), so it's definitely a popular spot. Everyone was quiet and respectful.

Popular spot. Gravel and dirt parking lots surrounded by trees but cleared for plenty of solar intake on sunny days.
Used for day hikes and 5 walk-in ocean front camp sites.
Been here 3 times and most cars in the parking lots belong to hikers or walk-in campers. We were the only van staying in the parking lot but we took advantage of the awesome oceanfront trail hike.
Pit toilet looked clean and 3 bars of strong AT&T cell service.
14 days free camping within 45 day period.

We stayed at the upper parking area due to snowy/icy conditions. Very quiet, peaceful nights sleep. The hike out to the coast in the morning is not to be missed. This spot was absolutely ideal and definitely worth checking out if you're travelling along the coast.

Stayed here, good spot, no issues. Hike to coast is nice

Great boondocking spot for a night. Parked a 25’ Class C in the lower lot; level within 1 degree. A handful of cars came in and out to hike from 3 pm onward on a Tuesday. One overlander came in late and left early. Very quiet with minimal road noise, some of the best boondocking sleep we have had. The 2.8 mile R/T hike out to the coast was nice also. No cell service (AT&T)

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet parking lots, I chose the lower one. Didn’t see anyone else the whole night, probably about 5 cars passed by. I’d stay here again.
