Description

Camping for the Manyeleti Game Reserve. R125 pppn. Many campsites, but most are unusable, the usable ones have water, a sink, power and a Braai. Ablutions are OK. Entrance to the Game Reserve was R55 per person. The reserve adjoins Kruger, and there is no fence between. We saw lots of animals on just a couple of short self game drives .

Latest Check-Ins

Although some of the camp sites power facilities are damaged many sites are serviceable. All have water and basins. Baboons and hyena are a problem so dustbin are raided daily. There is not much shade and the camp is a bit rough round the edges. Ablution better than some of those in the Kruger.

R55 entry fee pp and as South African s we paid R200 per night for two of us to camp. Similar big five game viewing as in the Kruger.

Conservation Fee still 55 Rand per day for the access to the Reserve - it’s under Administration from Mpumalanga Tourism - so no Wildcard accepted.

Camping is 300 Rand per campsite (for up to 6 people). Not negotiable - even I was alone.

Didn’t stay, especially the campsite is somehow neglected and not looked after. Very much overgrown stands, broken lights, dirty sinks etc.

Not sure if the power was working - didn’t try.

There is a Swimmingpool which was crowdy with some schoolkids - looks like there is something like a youth hostel also at the main camp.

Did see some Elephants, zebra, wildebeest and Impala driving in and out to the camp.

The campsite is about 15 km from the turn off from the mainroad. Roads (all gravel) have been bad after the rain - High clearance vehicle is recommended. Might be different in winter.
