Something not right?

Description

The Shasta meadow site further south was on a NF road that was too rocky and rock-crawly for my extended transit. Late and in need of stopping I found this spot on Google satellite image.

The road is an unimproved NF gravel road with easily manageable bumps for a van or truck/21’ trailer. The site is directly off the road underneath a large pine. Large enough for two vans or van + truck&trailer. No traffic on NF road but some distant highway noise.

Beautiful view of Shasta and 3+ bars Verizon LTE.

I went a little further down, the view was amazing. My favorite spot yet.

Great place, second time here. Winter storms were a little rough on the road coming in, but it looks like they’re working on it. Can’t beat the view. 2 bars AT&T LTE

Beautiful area - BUT we couldn’t make it up the first hill with our 24ft van. Soft sand, large drop offs. The pullout next to the road was sandy. Decided to drive up 10min to the rest area instead.

Due to the heavy rains California experienced, the road coming in is heavily washed out. easily accessible by lifted vehicle but a car probably wouldn't make it. Beautiful spot.

Beautiful view of Mount Shasta, lovely spot under the tree.

Lovely. We took a 25ft city bus down here and slept soundly. There’s a patch of soft dirt on the way in we gunned it through. Plenty of room to turn around at the site. Parking to accommodate at least two rigs depending on size. Faint road noice from outside, but silent inside for us. Good choice.

Good spot with enough room for a few cars. right distance off the road for a quick nigh sleep.

amazing view, easy access (even with our low clearence honda civic), stayed here almost a week! it's so private and beautiful! This is one of our favorite spots, although be aware there is plenty of horse poop around (we cleared it away from our particular spot)

Stopped here because I couldn't make it to another spot I had picked out. It was great and easy to access. stopped off at Pluto caves in my way out in the morning.

Report Check-In

Perfect overnight spot! Away from the highway though you can hear Jake brakes every so often.
