looks really great and in a beautiful remote canyon. However, it's closed Dec - March. 😔 Also, Google Maps took us over the bridge across the river and turning right on a dirt road. that's wrong. Turn into the driveway just before the river. There was a well lit flag pole when we visited.
Report Check-InAdding '23 checkin. Just as good as advertised! Free level sites right on the river.
Report Check-InGreat campsite just off the Rim Rocker Trail. Beautifully laid out with plenty of space and about 15 sites. Porto-John’s for bath facilities. The park is volunteer maintained and donations are accepted. Well worth it. We slept 10 feet from the San Miguel river. Very peaceful.
Report Check-InThis location is pretty nice right by the river. Also the flag pole is the last bit remaining of the town of Uravan. It’s right down the road from a radioactive superfund site where they mined and milled uranium for 5 decades. Not to worry, this site is totally safe with no radiation.
