Description

This is a lovely pullout off the highway between Pahrump and Vegas, before Lovell Canyon CG. No highway noise, nice mountain views and even were a few lounge chairs here when we got here. Easy enough road in. Great cell service

Latest Check-Ins

Very nice camping area with a fire ring and space for two cars. A little dirt road but no problems getting our short bus up here. Quiet, private, and beautiful. Many different pull offs along the road so you can choose a spot based on where others are.

Full T-Mobile bars.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for several nights enjoying the scenery and trying to stay out of the wind. The site we were on was close to a birm which helped reduce some of the wind. Picked up a lot of trash here, unfortunately.

Report Check-In

Reasonably quiet. Occasional car drives down the road. T-mobil signal. Paved road.

Report Check-In

Lots of nice spots along this road. Quite a few other campers but I was able to get some seclusion.

I stayed at a spot not listed iO that was a couple minutes past this site, on the right side. Room for 2-3 rigs. Plenty of shade from the pines.

no campfire in summer

Nice spot on our way to Vegas. Full Mobile signal. Really calm and hot!

This spot is amazing! We stayed here for almost a week while visiting Las Vegas. It's about a 40 minute drive from the city, but it's worth it for the scenery and seclusion! We saw 2 coyotes while stayed here so be aware if you have dogs. Amazing Verizon reception. We made it just fine in our 2WD Promaster. (Only park overnight on roads with a sign + number on it though we were told by a ranger)

Report Check-In

This is a nice level spot, and it can easily accommodate multiple small rigs, and a couple larger rigs. Easy in and out. There is even a spot on top of a hill to the right.
HOWEVER, there is TONS of glass shards everywhere scattered on this site. I don't even know how to begin picking it all up. Be careful especially if you have pets.
Great cell reception with Tmobile. We could actually watch YouTube.

Stayed here for about two weeks while climbing in Red Rock Canyon. It was awesome. Full bars on cell reception, water hose at the nearby fire station, only about 30 minutes to get onto the scenic loop in the canyon. And the Vegas lights over the hill to the east make it seem like a perpetual sunset! There are tons of places to camp, we took the second major turnoff and got a quiet spot just a couple hundred yards up the dirt track.

MUCH nicer than Red Rocks Campground (RRC is $20/night and still 10-15 minutes from the park). Quiet with good views and fairly level-ish ground. The road is gravel but easy in our 2WD Promaster 136”. Cell reception was full-bars for both Verizon and ATT.
We did see a lot of trash, so PLEASE be mindful of our beautiful land and clean up after yourselves. Don’t leave your pee toilet paper in the bushes, garbage in fire rings, or poop bags. Leave it better than when you found it.

Stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed it. If you’re driving to the red rocks scenic loop each day, it’s a very annoying commute. Very quiet and beautiful. We heard many animals around the van on the second night. We would probably stay here again on a rest day but not for rock climbing.

There are many camping options at side tracks along the paved Lovell Canyon Road. You will meet other campers but there is a lot of space, so it is very quiet.
