The best parking we have stay so far. Quite, clean, with plenty trees around, next to the river (but really next to it)…

really cool place to stay for a night! Pedro is a lovely person who does his best to make the night an adventure! it was a little bit hard to find him at first but just drive across the bridge and about 50m (first street on the right) the third house its his parents house - they are lovely.
the toilets are clean and you have fluent water. you also have lights and electricity at the shelters. horses and dogs are friendly.

Report Check-In

It looks very run down. No sign of Pedro when we arrived, but some guys on motorbikes smoking illicit substances down by the river. We moved on as we have two kids.

info is up to date
nice ope area although our first impression was a bit rubbishy and dilapidated.
it's a cleared area without real flat places to pitch a tent
the pictures look a bit better

We stayed two nights and payed CRC 15'000 per night for 2adults, 1child.
We can only cite another guest here: Pedro is 100% Pura Vida (very caring and welcoming) and the toilet is spotless. Shower is good too, but the clean and fresh Rio Celeste makes the shower almost unnecessary.
Friendly and cute dogs.

We have a 8,5m long (27 feets) and we were bogged down. Thank to Pedro, the owner, we were cleared. We spent 2 nights here alone. Beautiful and calm. We could go to Tenorio NP with our bikes (hard) and swim in the Rio Celeste here. Very expensive: 15000ć by night for us : 2 adults and 2 children (6&12).

Tidy place with direct access to Celeste River where tou can swim. You don't have to wait for Pedro: start camping and he will show up at some point. He's also available at phone # +506 8349 6365 and is a really nice person. Road sign currently is pointed just towards one of the ways.

Very nice campground. Spotless clean toilets!!! Good cold shower. Pedro is 100% pura vida. 6000 CpP.

What a gem! Open field with 2 covered areas. It backs on to the Rio de Celeste with a natural pool. Can't get any better. The washrooms were a short walk and despite a farmy look, very clean. Pedro is a super nice guy. If he is not there, go further straight a bit and knock a few doors and ask for Pedro.

Nice place with all facilities. Clean bathrooms.
Pedro is very nice

Report Check-In

This was a great spot to camp. Pedro is such a nice person, he made us really feel welcome.

The camping area is big with 3 shelters that have light, power outlets and (almost) dry firewood. There’s also an outdoor sink, bathroom + cold shower, all very clean.

The water is potable.

The grass can be quite muddy after a downpour and the power lines are hanging quite low so probably not suitable for big heavy rigs.

The best thing about the place for us was the private access to a swimming hole of Rio Celeste.

Definitely worth the short drive from the national park entrance, Pedro’s posada is a much nicer spot to spend the night.

Very nice place and super friendly owner. Pedro is giving all the best to make your stay lovely. Paid 6000 colones per person. Simple and clean facilities. All palapas have electricity. The best is the river which you get for free! Beautiful clean blue water! In the morning you can see Tucans too!

Report Check-In

We stayed there for one night before visiting Tenorio national parc. Place had everything we needed. The direct access to the Rio Celeste is awesome. Toilets and shower were clean and working well.

Report Check-In

We did not end up staying as there was nobody around and we were worried about our belongings as it's open to the road.

Report Check-In

We stayed for one night and paid 10'000 Colon / USD 16.00 for two persons. It's a littlebit expensive but the private access to Rio Dulce and Pedro as host is it werth. Very clean and modern toilet.

A wonderful experience here at Pedro’s campsite. Pedro was very accommodating and friendly. Rio Celeste 30 meters from our tent, two nice swimming holes to enjoy, completely private. Also pet friendly , we brought our two small dogs with us (we live in CR) and they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did! Great for bird- watching as well.
Wash station for dishes is super handy and the bathrooms and shower, although rustic are nice and clean! I highly recommend this campsite to my fellow overlanders!

Great spot. Price is now 10,000C per night per couple. Pedro really looks after the place, freshly cut grass, very handy rain shelters with power and a light, clean bathrooms, even soap and scrubber at the dishwashing sink. As much potable water as you like also.
The best thing however, was our own private access to swimming in Rio Celeste…. Didn’t really appreciate that until the next day driving past huge crowds of tourists at the public/national park spots!

I don’t usually go for official campsites in any way at all, however after checking out the other wild options along Rio Celeste I pulled in here late at night. A little shop up the road supplied food and advice for my adventure.

I really enjoyed it here. It’s as good as wild, no-one around, the Rio Celeste at your door, in amounts the trees.

Pedro appeared early morning and was so enthusiastic. I was pleased to pay him his 8,000 Colones to help him with his project.

If you wanted you could make a fire with the wood he has supplied and there are sinks and a bathroom though I didn’t use them.

The little tin and timber shelters are a helpful relief from the Costa Rican downpours when you’re camping.

Report Check-In

If closed because of covid, ask the house on the other side of the road after the bridge. Kenedy is Pedro’s brother in law and will go after Pedro to open it up.
They cleaned the place super well even though I was only spending one night. Very nice spot right on the Celeste River. Paid 8k Col for 2 people.
