Latest Check-Ins

I pulled into the park for lunch and to let my dog and cat have a run ( on leash) and decided to check out the campground since the last time I stayed here was in 1986! I had noticed the ‘shower’ sign at the entrance to the lakeside camping area. I happened to meet up with a park worker and asked if they allowed people not camping there to use them. He said certainly and they were free for the public to use! So free showers here!! No need to pay the $25 to camp just for a shower!

We spent the evening in the “Touring” campground for $20 vs. $25 at the Lakeside campground. Just passing through and didn’t need the showers though I don’t think they’d mind. Dump station is free at this time. Water needs to be boiled. Half price for seniors next week.

As of 18 Aug 2022 there is a boil water advisory for this site. Also only one washroom is in service and the female side has no functioning toilet. Other than that everything is as described before.

This is a nice provincial park campground. It has two sections one down by the lake and another closer to the highway that is named the touring section of the campground. This touring section is designed specifically for folks who are spending one night and heading down the road and that’s what we did. Each site has a table firing and many of them are pull through sites that can accommodate different size rigs. There was decent cell reception here and there are also pot toilets available close by. We did drive down and look at at the sites by the lake and they are also nice. There is also a dump available.

There is a recycling bin for ready-to-drink containers only.
