Beautiful place to sleep directly on the sandy beach of Terrace Bay on Lake Superior. Quiet and no traffic.

Permanently closed to camping, but a great spot for a picnic or a walk on the beach.
Report Check-InHad signs stating no camping or overnight parking. Would have been an awesome spot for the evening
Report Check-InIf you have an RV or car that you’re sleeping in, this is a good option if you can arrive when the sun is up and sort your sleeping arrangements out. Once the sun sets, you’re doomed. The mosquitos are worse than I’ve ever seen before. So many that it makes it uncomfortable if you have to open/close your doors to prep the car. A bit disappointing as the lake is right there and lots of driftwood to make a peaceful fire on the beach. May have just been the time of year. Quiet sleep, not far off highway.
Report Check-InAbsolutely beautiful place, on one side you have the waterfall and on the other side a nice sandy beach. Locals are lovely. There is a small walking track though the forest to get to the bridge with an amazing view
Report Check-InBeautiful location right on the beach, drove down lane from main parking lot to a quieter lane. Was in small camper van no issues getting in, one other overnight car while we were there. Lots of people around dinner time and in morning walking dogs but they didn’t bat an eye at us.
Report Check-InGreat place. Flat, huge, beautiful view, clean toilets & bins everywhere. Thanks !
Report Check-InAs others have said, very nice place.
We were there with our camper van and at least one other van was there and a tent. In the morning we also saw an RV drive off, that might have stopped there late at night.
Pit toilets were very clean. There were fire pits on the beach, which was nice.
one of the best places, I've ever stayed.
lots of nice spots to park directly at the sandy beach. saw someone with a small tent on the beach too.
super quiet at night and beautiful night sky.
i stayed two nights in my minivan!

Report Check-InBeautiful spot! Lots of scenic hikes and views in a small area. And surprisingly quiet overnight on a Friday of a long weekend :)
Report Check-InQuiet place. Lake and beach on one side, waterfall on the other side. Very Nice. Picnic tables and pit toilets. Very large parking lot to accomodate any kind of RV.
Report Check-InReally beautiful spot. Stayed 2 nights. Quite a few people stop by during the day for the boat launch but it's quiet at night. There's a spot on the left to park more secluded. Good LTE connection, great for all size RVs. Park officers came and there's no problem staying. Dog friendly beach too.

Report Check-InGreat spot - we had other campers staying the night, clean toilets, boardwalk away from the beach. Some people were tent camping right on the beach. Fantastic view from the beach.
Report Check-InAbsolutely gorgeous spot.
Also did a super nice trail starting from Hydro Road South (got dropped off)... took about 5 hours.
Eventually it connected with the Casque Isles Trail and led straight out to the parking lot. In love with this spot + that trail
Great spot, very quiet, right on the water. Pit toilets and garbage only a short walk down at the boat ramp.
Report Check-InWe had a really nice stay here, hardly anyone around. There are trails through the wooded area to the high rocks for sunset.
Report Check-InLovely place with great views. There were a few people staying the night. It get quiet at night, except for sound of the falls.
Report Check-InA beautiful place directly at the lake. Plenty of space to park your cars. I put up my tent in the sand. The beach is big and has enough space. There are even some tables and benches.
Report Check-InGreat spot to spend the night! Super quiet, right by the water and good access. Easy for all types of campers and rvs. We had this spot to ourselves but could see a fellow camper down the road at the other iOverlander spot. Definitely recommended!
Report Check-InPerfect night with other RVs

Report Check-InGreat place to stop, amazing view on the lake and fall. Very quiet. There is a short trail with a scenic view on falls and lake. Beach is very pleasant with pic nic table.
Report Check-InQuiet, nice. Sights to the Superior Lake and some small chutes.
A fee more vehicles spent the night there.

Good place to camp! Take a left a bit further down the beach than the boat launchpad. Was very quiet and safe at night and grreat swimming (very cold even late July)
Report Check-InNice camping/ parking area in the Terrace Bay beach right next to the falls. Quiet place, nobody bothered us. Not even the police that drove around. Compost toilets available. Falls make an incredible sound.
Report Check-InNice secluded place to camp, next to the beach. An excellent sandy beach is just 1 min away. However, lake superior is too cold to swim but still, its beautiful.
