Something not right?

Description

Signs saying no overnight parking, but we checked with customer services and they said it's fine for short stays at the far end of lot. We stayed 1 night in a small van with no issues, except for a bit of noise from lorries and trains in the night. Walmart is open 7am-11pm. Walmart has water fountains and WiFi inside, but Home Depot WiFi reaches the car park nearby.

Latest Check-Ins

I think the police did a big crack down on the homeless around here, from talking to locals. We were the only overnight campers here that we could see. Asked inside and it's fine to stay but at your own risk - the employee said it's not the best area. We had a relatively quiet night, train and traffic noise, but no people around.

Report Check-In

This parking lot is not particularly safe. Head East on Highway1 to Cole Road Rest Area, 7 minutes away.

Commenting again just to say that the night was super quiet. A train passed twice but compared to some stops on the trans can it was nothing. It definitely felt sketchy before walmart closed at 11pm but the night itself was fine.

Saw signs for no overnight so asked inside, they said yes. We were definitely the biggest rig there. There were a few other rvs, kind of spread out. We parked at the far end by the trees. This is definitely the sletchyest of the walmart parking lots we’ve stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a few. It felt pretty risky to stay here but desperate times …

Report Check-In

Several campers here. A little shady area. Homeless ppl around the area.

Report Check-In

We have been told by people in the area that it is not a safe parking lot.

Our first Canadian Walmart. One word, rough. We slept fine. It was plenty quiet, but not entirely secure. Definitely two or three long-term campers, including two fairly trashy RVs. Trashy parking lot. When we pulled up at 1 am there were homeless tearing down pallets at neighboring Home Depot. But, we’d probably stay again. Super convenient for US border crossing. You can get McDs Wi-Fi in parking lot.

We called Walmart before we arrived here, custom service told us it is ok for one night! Again nice and big parking lot, next to Home Depot , we parked far left from the entrance! Again thanks Wal Mart for providing us this safe and easy spot for the evening !!

Perfect walmart spot!
Beaucoup d’autres roulottes et vans!

Report Check-In

A bit smaller than many Walmarts. Stayed one night, and it was a bit noisy at night. Two other RV’s here that look like they park/live here long term. No issues. Would stay again if I needed to, but prefer to stay elsewhere.
