Free wild camping spot with fire rings in Cache Valley just outside of Arches National Park. Follow the 4x4 gravel road from the delicate arch viewpoint parking about 1,3 Miles to get here.
You need a 4x4 with high clearance. Small vehicles or RVs only.
You drive through a gate that marks the National Park border. Please close gate again with the chains after driving through.
This road (dead end, No Exit) goes further into the Valley but we stayed here for the night.
No "No camping Signs" and it's outside of the National Park. Not sure if this is BLM Land. (Not OP. I was told this was BLM land and it shows it as such on Free Roam. Zero cell service on AT&T. I imagine that it's the same for any provider.)
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Report Check-InAwesome place to camp the night before exploring Arches NP. The road is well worn for the most part and then just has random spots where large rocks are scattered throughout it, getting through the gate is the hardest part honestly. Tough to get to but I made it in my 2013 Ford Escape by driving carefully and luckily in very dry conditions. We spent the night completely alone.
No cell service (Verizon)
No fire wood
No Water
4X4 with at least 10" clearance is needed for here. It's $30 to enter the national park if you don't have a pass. This campsite is accessed through the park. Go to the Delicate Arch Viewpoint, there will be a gate (you have to drive over the sidewalk to go through, it should be open), a little ways down the road there will be a closed gate with a chain but no lock. Go through the gate and close the door behind you. (Manners are always good.) Look for campfire rings. There are at least three before you start needing a serious off-road setup. I probably could have made it further, but there was noone. I mean NOONE. Enjoy some alone time.
Report Check-InDrove through all the way from the park to the highway. Tons of great spots. Beautiful. Only saw one other car.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot, flat surface to place your tent. Nice views, high clearance needed. There is plenty of spot nearby. No signal!
Report Check-InFairly flat. Perfect after a visit to view the delicate arch. Nice find!
Report Check-InThe road extends out of the “viewpoint” parking lot side walk. Drive down about half mile, of east dirt road, to the green park limit fence. We don’t have a 4x4, but managed to drive just past fence and park for the night (RAV4, 2WD, rooftop tent). Super quiet. No one drove by at night. No ATVs, motorbikes or street illegal cars allowed, therefore I’d imagine there is a dearth of traffic. No cell phone signal. Parking lot has bathrooms.
Report Check-InSuper awesome location. Easy driving to the gate, but there is a decent size rock in the middle that can cause some undercarriage issues for you if you don’t have clearance. Past that, it was a bit bumpy but overall not bad. Couple of pick up trucks and a wrangler did fine. Our Subaru Forester friend slightly bent a control arm.
