Excellent, mostly level, clearing in very short spur road off of “main” trail FR 6846. Much better spot than the turnaround at the end of the “main” trail FR 6846 which is perhaps 1 KM further into the forest. Make sure to walk the 5 seconds along the footpath to see the majestic views of the mountains, snow and ice in the distance. On a clear day it’s a grand spot to be. Somewhat level areas for tents. Dense forest all around but this is a small clearing at the end of the spur road and gets plenty of sun, great for solar panels and cold hands.

Report Check-InAttempted to camp here but ran into a little snow just before the last fork in the road. Not being totally prepared for snow or knowing the area we heading back down.

Report Check-InAs advertised. The approach is skinny for a wide body, but doable. The landing has a couple nice flat spots and the view is great.
Report Check-InNice location. ok for 2 wheel drive, low clearance, but only in summer. I won't bring a trailer here. LTE is 3/5 bars (gFi.) Quiet...like morgue quiet. View ok... might do a little trimming tomorrow. Enough room for 4-5 vans. Will come again.

Very clean, only picked up some bullet casings, glass and cigarette butts. Mostly flat area with room for multiple vehicles/tents. Wonderful views of the mountains down a short path. Tons of mosquitos 😬 had to break out the nasty spray! & biting flies!! I'd say 4x4/high clearance is a good idea most of the time. Very quiet. Look forward to exploring. Good solar and decent Verizon reception with booster.
