Vivi welcomes overlanders to her property for some peace and quiet. There is a parking area near the gate, however it looks like no one has visited in a while. The area was overgrown with tall grass, which was still ok to park in, but not easy to hang out in. The view and quiet are both very nice, as is Vivi. She allows the use of her detached bathroom, which has hot water showers, and the Wifi network. She charges 15k pp pn. Possible to walk to both Villanueva (20 minutes along the road or 90 minutes the scenic route) and Barichara from her. Her current phone # is +57 315 5170543. Great place to enjoy the quietness and the fabulous view!. Viviana is a very nice friendly host and she helped us tremendously by finding a local artisan who made a metallic extension part for our water filter system in the camper. The warm shower was a treat and we were able to do our laundry as well. Highly recommended

The road from Villanueva is mostly paved. Level place for 2-3 motorhomes. 50m cable needed if one wants to connect to electricity. 25k COP for 2 people/night in a motorhome. 5k COP for the washing machine. Vivian plans to improve the place within the next 1-2 years.

Wonderful and modern family house, beautifully located, with an extremely nice owner (Vivi) and his wonderful son. After spending a couple of weeks in HOT Barichara, where there are few to no spots in the shade (in the free spots) we came here and enjoyed a little cooler days (2-3 degrees less which makes it breathable!), beautiful walks in the nature and had the possibility to go 2 times per day to the village with Vivi who takes and picks up her son from the Totumo (educational alternative center).
So if you’re afraid o missing out because of the distance, no need to worry because she can give you a lift in the morning and pick you up in the afternoon!
For price info you can contact her, but she’s open to be “paid” in exchange of services: help in the house, gardening, etc! It depends on your abilities, skills and what you can offer! :-)

Everything is there to make your stay a success! Indeed, whether you stay 2 days or 2 months, this place is special.

Viviane is a golden host who knows the region very well and is happy to provide you with information. She knows all the good plans and many people.
If you have children, this place is heaven. Viviane has a son, Lucio, 3 years old and very sweet!

300% recommended if you want to get to know Barichara and its surroundings in a different way.

Excellent place to rest for a few days, in the middle of nature, near to the beautiful and interesting Barichara (you can go in Mototaxi) and even closer to Villanueva (good for eating typical food and shopping, because it is much cheaper than Barichara!)
 We planned to stay 2 or 3 days and de was for two months there!!!
 It is a good place to park, very safe, with incredible views!  Bathroom, water, wifi, washing machine, electricity if you need it ..
 Viviana, the owner of the place, is a beautiful, Colombian person who has lived in Spain, she built her house in an eco-sustainable way, with rainwater collection!  Surely they can share interesting talks, it will make you feel at home. You can also advise very well on how to spend some beautiful days in the area (activities, walks, yoga, workshops ...)
 She works designing and sewing clothes, with a super tidy job, so if you need new clothes with style and not expensive you can consult her!
She has a little son, Lucio, who is a love.  Children are very welcome!

Excelente lugar para descansar unos días, en medio de la naturaleza, cerca del hermoso e interesante Barichara (se puede ir en Mototaxi) y más cerca aún de Villanueva (bueno para comer comida típica y hacer compras, ya que es mucho más barato que Barichara!)
Pensábamos quedarnos 2 o 3 días y fueron dos meses!!!
Es un buen lugar para estacionar, muy seguro, con vistas increíbles! Baño, agua, wifi, lavadora, electricidad si la necesitas..
Viviana, la dueña del lugar, es una hermosa persona, colombiana que ha vivido en España, construyó ella su casa de manera ecosustentable, con recolección de agua de lluvia! De seguro pueden compartir interesantes charlas, te hará sentir como en casa. Además puede aconsejarte muy bien de cómo pasar unos lindos días en la zona (actividades, caminatas, yoga, talleres…)
Ella trabaja diseñando y cosiendo prendas, con un trabajo súper prolijo, así que si necesitas ropa nueva con estilo y no carísima podés consultarle!
Tiene un pequeño hijo, Lucio, que es un amor. Los niños son más que bienvenidos!
