Description

A large waterfront boat launch paved parking lot at the end of Rt. 189 in the quaint town of Lubec. Small walking town with at least 4 little restaurants/pubs. Minutes to the Canadian border crossing to visit the beautiful and picturesque Campobello Island, home of the International Park featuring the Roosevelt family Summer “Cottages” with fabulous guided tours of the property. It is also home to one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world-East Quoddy Head Light. We were here mid October holiday with very few people around, and no problems parking our 25’ Airstream. Definitely more crowded in mid-season.

Latest Check-Ins

There is a sign here now forbidding overnight parking.

As described in other posts. There was a no overnight/no camping sign, so I wasn't sure about it. Another van & an Airstream were there too. We all decided to stay & had no problems. Quiet & beautiful, especially sunrise. Lubec Brewery was still operating a beer garden 3-5. We asked the guy there about staying in the lot. He didn't think it was a problem an said people also sometimes stay in the little gravel lot across from him.

Public Marina in Lubec, ME. Fairly level parking lot. BEAUTIFUL views. I stayed one night and wasn't bothered by anyone. Worthy to note however, at sunset the parking lot fills then empties after the sun sets. Also, the young adults enjoy gatherings here. They keep to themselves and are not a bother, but they do enjoy their music. All is relatively quiet after 10ish.

Big parking lot at the end of a tiny town. Plenty of space available and the views are amazing.

The Harbor master visited us after our one night here and told us told us we were only able to stay 1 night. He was really friendly about it about it.

Very disappointed in IOverlander.Went to 3 different places that said you can stay overnight and were asked to leave or had a sign saying no overnight camping.

Report Check-In

Large fishing lot for boat launch only no overnight camping allowed, we’re told have to leave by 10:00 pm or it’s a federal offense by the harbor master.

Nice little town. Lots of shops and good eats to walk to. Nice grass hill for fido. Just need to watch traffic.....pretty busy during the day. I'm pretty level where I'm at, but most of the lot isn't....but not horrible. No services. Town welcomes folks to park here and reportedly no issues staying overnight. No OTA TV again. Blistering fast internet. VZW 131 mbps down (yes 131!!) , 10 up. ATT 29 down, 28 up.

Report Check-In

Parking lot at the water. Locals confirmed that staying over night is not a problem and we had a good night sleep.

Beautiful place to spend the evening…then wake up to!

Report Check-In

Beautiful sunset and a 4:52am sunrise. Stayed pretty stealthy last night out of respect for the locals. A few kids in the lot playing music until about 11 last night, but it wasn’t bad. Quiet night after that, except for my snoring. Neat little shops within walking distance and the local people are incredibly friendly. Enjoyed a delicious lobster at the Fisherman’s Wharf.

Report Check-In

Parking lot by the water, many cars even into the night, many people working on the boats coming in and out. Our van and another RV here, we were "stealthy" but they had lights inside on bright and slides out, didn't seem to have any issues.

Decent spot for the night, considering that many of the other boat launches and other potential spots in the area have "no overnight" signs. This was a decent place to rest for a night.
