Description

showed up around 8pm, we first tried Loves across the street but they have a bunch of signs that say 1 hour parking so we drove over here where we saw other RVs all over the place. We asked at the front desk and even though all their RV spaces were filled they let us park in their back parking lot cause we can fit there as a van. Very nice place, even when it's under construction!
Sanitation Dump Station is available on site.

Latest Check-Ins

NO overnight parking. Signed all along the perimeter. One hour parking only for customers. That’s OK I went across the street to Loves and was able to park all night with no problem.

Report Check-In

Ok place to stay just for the night! Parking spots are pretty close together and In between big rigs so it’s a little loud with their trucks running through the night but ok if you just need to rest for the night.

Report Check-In

Got in around 11pm and all the good spots were full of what looked like people sleeping in their cars/vans. The few spots left open were under very bright lights. Maybe stop here a little earlier if you want a good spot. We ended up driving down the road to a hotel because it was pouring rain and didn’t feel like getting wet getting the car camping setup.

The description above is correct. There are signs of Pinot over rice parking Catherine only one hour limit. However, I think that to keep away the camera. I see here for one night. I did purchase some the gas station.

Laundry facilities were disgusting. I am very disappointed in this location.

Report Check-In

arrived at 5:30
no room for 21' trailer and truck. very few rv spots and truck area was packed solid. They were nice enough but told us they don't encourage rv's

Report Check-In

Parked overnight in one of the RV parking spots. (At least I think it was an RV parking spot…it was about 40ft long and in the auto/RV section of the lot…there was also a Class A parked in the space next to mine). Typical truck stop - noise from trucks running their engines and vehicles coming and going all night. Tried to pay for a shower in the morning but the cashier said they were reserved for truckers only…this is the first time that I was not able to pay for a shower at a Pilot / Flying J. Went to Love’s a cross the street instead for a shower.

Report Check-In

Stayed at Flying Js one night. No issues staying overnight. Parked in the perimeter parking spots and there were lots of other cars and vans staying overnight. If you have a trailer or a larger RV, you may need to pay for one of their secured spots (think it was $18).
It was very loud with trucks coming in and out but it does get quiet after about 10-11 ish.

Report Check-In

Came in late and all RV spots at the front were taken by medium size trucks, cabs and a couple of Class As. However, there were about ten vans and small trucks at the back of the parking lot, and people in about half a dozen cars. Yes, there are signs (with small print) but there does not appear to be any enforcement.
You are near Highway 99 and there will be road noise until midnight, and starting early in the morning.

This is an addition to the comments I left yesterday, shortly after arriving. Just before noon, when I was getting ready to leave, an employee (seemed like a manager) spoke to me. Although polite, he was brusque. He told me that this had been my second night, which was not the case. I told him that I had just spent one night, which was the truth. He confirmed, by saying, "Just the one night, eh?" to which I replied in the affirmative. He then pointed at the parking signs, and noted to me that they specify one hour parking. I told him that yesterday, I had called, and spoken with an associate over the phone, who had told me that it would be OK to park in the regular parking lot for one night. I was hoping to have a more nuanced conversation with him, but he didn't seem interested, saying that he was "just letting me know", and walked away.

On my first stay here, about 10 days ago, I was under the impression that one night stays in the regular parking lot were totally OK, and that we were welcome. I now realize that it's a much more nuanced, and precarious situation. Officially, only one hour parking is allowed. Unofficially, they appear to tolerate overnight stays for one night.

I sense that there's a good possibility we could lose this reluctantly-granted privilege, so let's not mess it up!

I have a class B that fits into a regular parking space. Signs in the regular parking lot indicate 2 hour parking only. However, on talking with employees, I found that overnight parking is tolerated, though not openly encouraged. my take-away from this is to make sure you only park for one night, and behave yourself. Please don't do anything to cause Flying J to rethink this unofficial policy.

PS - not all Flying J's are the same regarding their attitude to free overnight parking.

Report Check-In

There are “1 hour parking limit” signs in front of literally every parking space. It looked like there were a few sprinter vans in the parking lot, but I wouldn’t chance it.

Report Check-In

This was a great place to stop for an overnight. It was only 5:30 pm when we pulled in but it was dark and very welcome. Had been hunting for a campground or boondocking in the area for an hour and were tired so this was very welcome. Asked at the desk what the procedure was and was told that there were 4 free parking spots for RVers. There were more than that many parked here though. Noise level tolerable especially with ear plugs.

Stopped here to use the dump station a few week ago. $3 for Flying J cardholders. Dump station worked great--not many in the area. Convenient for folks returning to SF Bay Area from the Tahoe area.

Quite a few sprinter-type Van's in parking lot. Some noise and brightness but to be expected for a 24 hour gas station. Grateful that it was available. Encourage all to respect site and minimize impact for sake of future travellers.

Nice truck stop. Plenty of others overnighting in the parking lot. WiFi did not reach to the parking lot for me. My pup appreciated the open field to potty in.
