Description

Nice, small hotel with very clean rooms including private bathroom with shower. Nice and friendly host. We paid 400 Pesos +20% tax. Was very quiet and is close to train, bus station and downtown.

We showed up here. The door seems to be the tiny wooden door to the right of the purified water vendor. However, it was locked. We knocked. No one answered.
We tried several other hotels in the area, and received the same lack of reception. Perhaps being low season some hotels aren't operating? We finally found a room at Hotel Sierra Azul and were quite happy there.

My in-laws stayed in a room, while we slept out front in the street. They told us parking out in the street is safe and it indeed felt like it (quiet as well). They paid 450 for the room (in total, no extra tax). We reserved by phone in advance. The room was street facing (other side was booked already) and had a small balcony. Mini heating was there. Looked pretty, but insulation is quite bad, so you could hear everything from other rooms. The bathroom had a bit of a funky thing with hot water, which would come out irregularly from the tap (really hot!) and the shower and at other times not. People who work here are nice. Purified water with hot water option with tea and instant coffee available.

I booked this place through Airbnb for a total of US$61 for two nights.

A few things to note: All rooms are on the second floor and the staircase is steep and narrow. The rooms are very small. There's not a lot of space for luggage. There's no closet or dresser. There's no desk or chair in the room. Just a bed, a nightstand, and a shelf. Street parking only. There is a propane heater in the room. The owner asked me not to run it while I was sleeping. No air conditioning.

My room is very clean and cozy. I have my own bathroom and a shared balcony (there's no furniture on the balcony).

Little Hotel with really cozy rooms and comfortable beds. The bathroom of the double room is small but has a good hot shower. If you book over the hotel directly (WhatsApp: +52 635 119 3444) the double room is 450 pesos.
