can camp on beach here? we did it, its fine go past river/creek near hill and tree
Report Check-InThought to make a stop here on our way back, unfortunately it became too popular and now there are no overnight camping signs. Look to be very new.
Report Check-InLong and rough ride in but my 2wd compact made it. Lovely spot, right on the beach. Washroom is tucked away on the left side of the info area. A handful of other campers but lots of space available
Report Check-InIncredible little beach spot. Stayed for a day and a half, had a lovely campfire on the beach. Busy during the day with beach goers, only shared the spot at night with a few other campers. Working toilet.
Report Check-InSleeping in a gravel parking lot. beach is fantastic, and yes there are toilets, but it is still just a gravel lot. gets busy during the day.
govt beach (just down the road) is also a gravel lot, but beach is rarely visited. no toilets there.
Report Check-InReally nice beach. Busy during the day but seems okay for an overnight stay. We will definitely come back here.
Report Check-InBeautiful and quiet spot for any sized rig with pull through access, another truck camper and travel trailer and van dweller stayed here in the parking lot with us. Great swim in the morning and walk along the beach.
Report Check-InVery nice spot to camp for the night. Beatiful sandy beach that opens on the Superior Lake. Cold but swimmable water. Nice people in Wawa, beats the hitch hiker's urban legend. The beach was like the movie cast away without Tom Hanks. Cool vibe.
Report Check-InGreat place to spend the night. Quiet and plenty of space. Beautiful beach area. There is a toilet and a campfire ring however I am not sure if you are supposed to have a fire there though as the ring is just some rocks.
Report Check-InHello
So lovely place to park your motorhome or your car for the night.
We travel with a motorhome of 8.1 meters long, 2.5 large and 3.7 high and it' ok for the road and the parking.
Really pretty beach, friendly locals. We where at least 5 vans to sleep here with no problem. No wifi, but good cellphone reception.
Report Check-InVery beautiful place to stay for a night or two. Free. Little parking lot just next to the beach of Superior Lake. We loved this place!
We recommande!
Great spot for an overnight. Clean toilet and short stroll to the beach.
Report Check-InJuly 27, 2019: Camper (tent) (red Honda Civic) left lots of white tissues at a tent camping area that has not been used for at least 3 years. Garbage can only a 1 minute walk.
Report Check-InI love this place ! Enjoy the Superior lake and the dunes.
Garbages.
Collected some garbages on the beach.
Quiet place for a night. Only a RV and a car for the night.
really nice spot close to the beach with the best drop toilets I've ever seen at a free camp. Also met Joel, a really nice guy who volunteers to maintain the park. gave us some really good advise and nice conversation. one of the best spots I've found on this app
Report Check-InClean, quiet, beautiful spot lke descriptions prior to mine. Excellent spot.
Report Check-InTo continue the good reviews - beautiful Sandy Beach, few people were making a fire on the beach at night, there were people camping directly on the beach, another 2 vehicles of campers... And yes, the toilet was very clean!
Report Check-InThe beach is beautiful. The parking is alright, pretty quiet. Quite a few people walking their dogs on the beach. Unfortunately no picnic table. The toilet was indeed clean and big, but it was a bit full...
Report Check-Incarpark of the Sandy Beach area. Very peaceful.
Road to reach was quite rough gravel in places.
The toilet is not a "pit toilet", it is a "vault toilet". This means that the toilet vault can be pumped out and then taken to a sewage treatment facility. When a pit toilet is full, it is closed and covered. The toilet building is then moved to a new hole in a new location.
Report Check-InThe toilet was magnificent for one... the beach was nice and sandy. There was a area with a roof, you could easily hangout under when it's raining. The cellphone service and 3g was on point...probably the best spot so far.
Report Check-InVery peaceful beach with nice sunset and very clean pit toilet, nice and quiet , recommended
Report Check-InAwesome as described. Not for big rigs. Best pit toilet so far on our trip.
Report Check-InAs described.
Huge parking, few meters from a beautiful beach. Quiet, pit toilets.
Good Gravel road to come.
Lots of mosquitoes.
Wonderful sunset on the beach!
Perfect quiet spot for the night! saw no one, and right by the beautiful beach!
