Description

Nice site with beautiful views of Twin Lakes. Up on a ridge above the lakes with room for bigger rigs, stone fire pits, and trees for cover from North winds.

So many places to park with gorgeous views. Pretty busy area but still was able to find a place to park and it was actually really quiet for how many campers there. A nice flat easy 3 mile hike around the lake at the top. (Careful of elevation, had our window shatter here, not sure reason why whether the manufacturer or installer or elevation etc)

Report Check-In

Up a hill, mix of vans & RVs. We were able to get a Lakeview site.

Great spot. Probably the best free site I've ever used. Some level spots, some not. I was able to drive to it in a subaru impreza (low clearance but AWD).

Twin lakes has good trout fishing. Good fly shops in Buena Vista.

Great area with tons of spots for camping. A mix of RVs, vans, and tent camping. For this specific spot the road up is a little rough, but short. Great views of the mountains and the lakes. Would come back!

Great views of Twin Lakes and the surrounding 14ers. Plenty of room for different size rigs. Cell service was good on Verizon, T-mobile and Att. Stayed 4 nights at two different times. I plan on staying here again.

Stayed 3 days. A little chilly at night still but the views cannot be beat.
