Good spot just off the main road, sheltered and flat.

Small dirt road leads off to a large former rock quarry. Probably used when they rebuilt the highway. If you tuck in on the left behind the dirt piles you will be invisible to the road. Please don’t leave trash here (there isn’t any yet!) and remember to bury your poop.

Accessible with probably any rig.

place was closed off with a cord. could easily remove it but i guess you're not supposed to camp here. we left and camped near the ruins in town.

Great place! Close to the road, not visible and plenty of space. We had a super quiet night here :)

Stayed here one night with 2 other vehicles.

Good spot, close but sheltered from the road. plenty of flat space.

access road ok, doable in probably any vehicle (we had a Sprinter).

Old quarry as others have said. Short rutted dirt road doable, just span the ruts when driving so as to not drop in them. Super quiet night. Tucked our sprinter in next to the hill on the east side of the quarry and we were not visible from the road. No trash, but please bury your feces in a 6 inch hole and pack out your papers in a bag so this place remains nice for others. Enjoy!

Great spot for one night ! It's private, quiet and clean (no trash). The road is dirty but small.

Super spot pour la nuit. Il est caché la route. C'est calme, silencieux et propre. Il n'y a pas de déchet. Laissons l'endroit propre ! Le chemin d'accès est accidenté mais il est court (2min depuis la route).

A great, private and quiet place to spend a night. Hidden from the road. Only picked up a few pieces of garbage, so a clean place. Gets cool at night. Highly recommend!

Quiet for a night! No problems. This isn’t the most scenic spot, but we really enjoyed the peace and privacy. There are some deep grooves in the dirt road off the main highway, but it’s very manageable now during the dry season. A fine spot to stay & there is still very minimal garbage (:

Muy bonito lugar por una noche tranquila

Perfecto! Muy bueno lugar, el camino se ve que no se udo mucho, pero esta bien

Report Check-In

We arrived around 2 PM, while it was raining very hard. The entrance road was like a river of muddy water, but possible to drive. At the site the bottom was hard enough to park, even in the midst of rainy season.

I already posted something but couldn't get my picture in after my finger slipped past that option.

Truly a great place! we found no trash, but beautiful and fragrant wildflowers taking over the quarry.
Even after a night of rain and puddles on the trail, the surface was hard enough not to worry about getting stuck. We had a quiet night with no sound of traffic behind the outcrop.

Report Check-In

Perfect overnight spot off the road. You’re able to be well hidden from the road and road noise is minimal. Peaceful, minimal trash, I felt safe as a solo traveller.
