4x4 ONLY

We took this from Paraiso to get to Salto Mocona. It's all dirt with a few rough sections. Don't need 4x4 if dry but high clearance recommended although probably doable without with careful driving. It had rained 2 days before and had some damp parts that were slippery so wouldn't take if any wetter. We did air down as well as used our 4x4 for those sections. There is nothing on this road except roads onto private property. No cell signal. We met no vehicles and only saw tracks on first part and then near the end near Ruta 2.

Latest Check-Ins

We traveled this route on a drizzly day and if necessary, the 4x4 would go down and deflate the tires. We did not find anything on the route except private property and in many sections they filled in with sharp stones to avoid stagnant mud.
I do not recommend under any circumstances to do it in a standard car.

Report Check-In

Don't underestimate this track! Definitely 4x4 only!!! I had to leave my bike and walk 15km to find someone with a truck to come and get it. Slept the night on the track after it took 5 hours to do 5km. Deep, sticky mud and difficult rocky sections.
