We were a bit unfortunate: made a (prepaid) reservation for two nights. when arriving, they didn't offer a single of their (website) tours (no guides? and waterlevel too low). As well the electricity did not work. We stayed only one night (no refund for the already paid night) as there was really nothing to do.
So check before paying your stay if they do tours or not. 400pppn is pricey we think.

Report Check-In

We arrived after a long drive, after ringing the bell the manager, Hendrik, showed up. Place was available, price was 400 NAD p.p.p.n. but no cards where accepted due to connectivity issues as this is a remote area. Our MTC SIM worked just fine and had LTE coverage, iOverlander mentioned there was WiFi at the reception so it felt quite weird. As we only had 700 cash we hoped that it would be fine to stay for one night but the manager was very clear that it would have only be possible for 800. As there is no ATM in the next 60km or more we were forced to leave (which was around 16:00) and to find a new campsite. Place might be great but would definitely not recommend it it based on his experience.

stayed in camp site 5. great view, very nice facilities. highly recommend 👌

Report Check-In

As described, great campsite. There are 5 campsites. One to return to if we in this area again. Pd N$300pppn.

Beautiful private campsite where each campsite has its own ablutions with hot shower as well as a big kitchen with a sink with hot water and a nice braai area. There is a new manager who has been there for 3 weeks who was really friendly and was great to communicate with on whatsapp before our arrival (+353 85 176 7257). We saw impala and worthog from the camp, and could hear hippos. Really worth a visit if you want a private and quiet campsite with a beautiful view and unfurgettable stargazing. Unfortanetely there wasn’t enough water to do the Mokoro trip while we were there (which can be organized by the manager).

The camp sites are excellent. No. 4 looks very good for larger groups. Has hot water heating works well. They also have solar power woth an inverter charging 2 large batteries. There is an Andersen (Bradley) plug where we could plug our fridge into in the car.

Manager was in the process of being replaced so no pizzas were available. Free WiFi was very weak to the point of useless except to get a few emails.
Apart from a few warthog there was not much hame to see. However we did hear hippps and lions at night.

Beautiful campsite on your way to Nkasa Rupara NP, via terrible sand road (not deep but very holey). Wonderful private and spacious sites with amazing showers. However, maybe we caught the manager on an off day because he did not seem keen to have us there and when we asked if he still made home made pizzas he looked at and gave a non-commital yes and clearly didn't want to make any. We just did not get the hospitable vibe like the other reviews.

250 per person is quite steep, but the showers are worth it!

Report Check-In

Very beautiful and clean campside, overlooking the impressive wetlands and next to Nkasa Rupara National Park!
Manager and staff are very friendly. Wunderful Pizzas and freshly homemade bread!
We can recommend this place very much.

Report Check-In

We tried to visit the NP and also this place. For trucks is none of not these places accessible! The branches of trees are hanging much too deep!

Report Check-In

Stayed at campsite 1 without prior booking. Still 250NAD ppn. Excellent private facilities, lots of shade, very clean and well maintained campsite with such a beautiful view. Hot water heated by gas on shower and for dishwashing which will help if you're here during winter freezing Namibian weather. From campsite could see antelopes and elephants at the flood plains. Heard sounds of what could be big cats (leopar? lion?) mating very close to the camp. Good 4G internet with MTC from our campsite.

Report Check-In

We stayed in campsite 2 which is vary large and has a beautiful view over the wetlands.
We paid $250pp which included a bundle of firewood on arrival - we booked online.
The manager makes pizzas for $100 each.
We would really recommend this campsite.

Livingstons Camp has 5 large and quiet campsites along the wetlandarea close to the entrance of Nkasa Lupala NP. It’s unfenced area and the elephants and buffalos are visiting frequently. The hippos are living around the camp. And watch out the naughty baboons and monkeys, taking chances in stealing food. The warthogs are also running around the camp.

Super neat and clean campspots with a very fancy Lapa. Lights run on solar. No extra electricity plug.

Toilet and shower also nice and 100 % clean. Hot water from the gas geyser.

Good fireplaces with braai facilities - 1 bundle of wood is included.

Very quiet and an excellent spot to explore Nkasa Lupala NP or Mudumu NP.

To reach the camp a bridge needs to be crossed - max 12 tons.

To reach Nkasa Lupala - another bridge with max 12 tons needs to be crossed.

WiFi at the reception/managers house.

Camping is 300 N$ pppn. If you book via the website it gets even more expensive.
