Description

Neat camping spot tucked in on a side road 100m from the beach near the ruins of Tulum. 100 pesos per person/night which we found a bit pricey. Showers and toilets near the beach. Tent camping available. Restaurant and bar. Too small for big rigs.

I wanted to stay here for the night but it was very unclear for what they charge. The guy asked me for 200 for using his facilities. But as I sleep in my car I have to pay the 250 for the parking lot as well. The guy in the parking lot didn’t let me choose a place in the shade what felt really weird for me. After I asked @Ikal and the women there were such arrogant and told me that they charge a hundred dollar for tent camping I left finally.

We found a nice camping spot for tents under trees. Two of us in a tent for 200 MP / person. Our 20 ft Van fit the parking area, first they ask for 200 / van but nobody comes to take the money. Showers and toilets basic but clean, the little restaurant is highly recommended, sometimes with live music from guitar. Beautiful beach nearby.

Tried to stay here but they said we couldn't sleep in our van. Said the only option was to rent a tent for 500 pesos for 2 people. We tried at the next hotel down and we're told the same thing.

You can park a small van on the parking but it is only a parking 200 pesos for a day. You can use the toiletts of the bar between 10 and 20 h. Not the best place but the only one in tulum

Perfect for small rv, nice restaurant with live reggae band last Saturday night, delicious pizza. Super bar with hamacs, chairs etc on the beach. 200 pesos everyday.

Terrible place i would not recommend it, at first it looked nice, nice bar friendly staff, but when we where sleeping in the Van a guy woke us up and asked if we would leave the next day. We felt like we where not welcome. the rest of the night there where a lot of notices around us of cars and people talking we slept for just a few hours. in the morning a another guy asked us if we paid already witch we did and told us that if we wanted to stay we have to pay a additional 200 pesos because it was 10 am. We told him we would leave in 1 hour, then 30 min later a lady came bye and asked if we had paid again en to who we had paid, probilly they don't talk to each other about the payments. Soon after that we just left as soon as we could.

Apparently the parking lot now has a different management than the camping.
2 of us tent-camped at the campground for $200pppn, and we were supposed to pay $200 to park the van but in the end they asked us $250 since we were using the facilities for the night. Technically we didn’t owe the parking guy anything, since we are using the facilities from the campground but didn’t want to argue too much.
If we stay longer than one night, for sure we are going to negotiate the price :)
Other than that, everything is as previously described.

We arrived in the afternoon, around 3pm, and found a great spot in the shade. The guard at the parking lot told us to pay 100 MXN per person for one night, but in the reception they told us 150 per person. After bargaining a little we agreed on 100 though (200 in total for 2 people), and considering the facilities and surroundings we actually thougt it was a fair price. The staff was real nice and chill, the whole place had a cool bohemian feeling, the showers and toilets were clean and tidy and the beach was one of the nicest we have been to in Mexico. The parking lot was quiet and we had a good sleep here. The wi-fi was also good and we could even connect from the parking lot with our laptops.

After a walk through the camp looking for a space to set up our 2 tents, we found a pipe leak of raw sewage & opted for Playa Roca campgrounds down the road. The nose doesn't lie!

Avoid Tulum in January if you don't like mass tourism. This place is a small oasis of stoned hippies though, and very relaxed. The Baños can be a bit uninviting at times, especially in the early morning. Other than that we found it to be a gem. Staff doesn't always seem to know what's up, so, for example, if you want to know if there's still food, do ask the kitchen staff, not anybody else. We pitched our TENT here for 200MXN p.p.p.n. WiFi at 'Reception' area only. Wheelchair acessibility: feasible, with a good, strong assistant.

Inquired with reception. No dogs allowed. We did not stay.

Okay place. Right on the beach, showers and flush toilets. The main reception plays amazing music which is the best thing going for this place. It is a bit pricey but we might just be spoiled. We slept in hammocks last night and woke up with sever mite bites. Tonight we are sleeping in our tent. Wifi but not at the sites.

Price is now up to 150pP which is pretty high for a so so parking area and toilets without seats.

As said before, very nice beach, close to the ruins, camping on parking (but nice sandy area), WIFI now. Would be perfect for tent camping, too. Everything you need, the owner even said I could connect to electricity but did not try. Paid 150pp, but its easter sunday of semana santa...

Report Check-In

For tents only, but we were allowed to camp in the parking area for one night. Friendly owner. M$100
