Great place for an overnight. Some road noise, but not bad in a van. Ranger/city worker did not come to collect fee. Decent t mobile coverage and clear sky for starlink. Canal is beautiful and we spent the day working remotely here.

Report Check-InWe stayed here last night. It was quiet and we were the only ones there. Ranger sis not come by, but there was a work cart parked there. Enjoyed the fire pit.
Report Check-InThis is a designated camping area. It’s nice, reasonably quiet and has clean pit toilets. Easy access from highway. The ranger came in the evening and charged 8$ per vehicle for the night. There is a sign at the turn around which describes the camp rules etc. The mulberries along the trail are delicious!
Report Check-InPulled in after dark, only saw one truck come by to turn around. Some traffic noise as others have said but not bad. Great Verizon phone service. Stayed in 136 promaster van, would stay here again.
Report Check-InSeemed like a comfortable spot but was woken up a few hours after I fell asleep to a car just sitting in front of my van idling. Waited for a knock from law enforcement but nothing. Decided to move along and removed my front window covers in which another car pulled up. Started the van and traveled down to the nearest rest stop since you could hear the highway from here anyways. Not about that shady local activity...
Report Check-InExcellent overnight here in mid October. No bugs, low traffic sounds from nearby highway. A few boaters / fisherman showed up in the morning but they did their thing and we did ours. There is a map here showing other camp locations along the canal, 9 total designated areas, I believe they all have pit toilets like this one. Beautiful sunset & sunrise, very peaceful!

Report Check-InGood find. Small level gravel parking lot. 2 bars ATT and LTE. Can see and hear I 80 from campsite but it’s not bad at all. Room for tents, and clean pit toilets. Delicious mulberries along the gravel path.
Report Check-InYes you are near the highway! one step up from a Walmart : two steps up from rest stops . If there is no more space to park, on the other side of the bridge there is a small parking lot but with no pit toilets . See pic more parking circled in red . I’d stay here again

Report Check-InBeautiful spot with level parking for 3 vehicles. Pit toilets very clean. Quiet with lots of nature noise like birds and insects. Peaceful. A few other cars come and go. There is a boat ramp here.
