pleasant park, nice beach sites are average, nice to catch a cancellation and grab a night here
Report Check-InLovely campground. Privacy in all spaces, respectful, quiet, nice bathrooms (although the water pressure is terrible). Nice elkay cold water bottle filling station at the restrooms. No-seeums were bad during my visit, but was the same all over the keys this week. i stayed in waterfront site 21 and non-waterfront site 2. both were awesome.
Report Check-InGreat little park. Best to make reservation through phone (800-326-3521) called a couple days before, got a one night. Website useless, ALWAYS says nothing available in all keys parks. Not True ! Call.
Sites have pad, elec 50-30, water, picnic table, & grill with cooking grate. Next to my site (#15) path to beach 30 ft away. Great sunrise ocean view. Close to Marathon for errands.
I didn’t use shower or toilet facilities.
My rig is 40’ with tow. Sites are back in, both fit.
Report Check-InSmall campground here. Quiet at night. New clean facilities. Check for cancellations online. We got one a few days before. The ranger also said that same day cancellations don't show online so you can try in person at 1pm. Hard to get more that one night in a row on a cancellation though.
Report Check-InNice State Park. Close to ocean, but view blocked by overgrown grass/reeds. Restrooms with showers clean. They are elevated up, and there's a good viewing deck on the way.
Report Check-InGreat spot with nice full service semi-private spaces but *dogs are not allowed in the water! Boo!gG
Report Check-InHad a nice quiet stay. Every thing was clean. I was here kitesurfing.
I found one spot online and booked it. By chance I went there the day before and they had open sites. There is a new reservation system it seems and it doesn’t always reflect what they have. Tonight there is at least 2 sites open but online I didn’t see them. The park does stay full mostly but it doesn’t hurt to ask for a walk up site I think
Report Check-InWatch for cancellations on Reserve America. We found one the day before we needed a spot. And what a spot this is!!! We paid $49.70 but it is cheap compared to other places in the Keys!
Report Check-InCampground state park in the keys. They are all the same price $43 a night.
We got warned for 2 cops that’s it’s not allowed to Boondock in the keys, so the state parks campground are the cheapest option. Dump station available. Clean showers.
