As described but there are no recent updates so I thought I'd mention this place has a new name I think. Now going by "Casa Romano".

Also they can park motos in the lobby. There's enough room inside for 2 or 3 full-size ADV bikes comfortably. It's a tight squeeze to get in but once inside plenty of room.

Price is still the same at $20 per night for a private room w/ double bed and private shower. Very comfy bed, very clean room. Best $20 hotel I've ever stayed at. It is not really hostel as there are no communal dorm rooms, but several family rooms and a shared kitchen.

Highly recommend, I found it the perfect spot to rest and prep for the Costa Rica border in the morning

Good small, quiet and clean hostel/more like a hotel right in the centre and near the beach of San Juan. Nice kitchen and a common balcony. We were allowed to take our three dogs in as well when asked nicely and it was really quiet times with no other quests. $20/double room w private bathroom.

Small rooms with private bath, decent wifi, shared kitchen, a few blocks from the beach. $20/night for a couple--but it was $18 if we stayed more than one night. Street parking here as with most hotels in SJDS.
