Description

Rest stop/welcome center. Large open lot. Clean restrooms open 24 hours. Recycle bins. Drink and snack machines. Welcome center open 8:30-4.

Used by lots of trucks so you have the hum of truck generators all night. We had a restful night though.

I think there is WiFi at the welcome center but the signal wasn't strong enough for me to log on from the van.

Parfait pour la nuit. Grand stationnement et accueil très chaleureux au welcome center.

C’est parfait pour la nuit. Un peu de bruit mais très bien dormi.

Report Check-In

Nice hiking trails. A short walk to marsh overlook with a WW2 cannon.

This spot was great! A bit of road noise but kind of like a white noise, the parking lot was almost empty except for a couple semis and two or three rigs, slept in s small sedan with the windows cracked and weren’t bothered.

Report Check-In

large paved lot with a lot of open parking. there was a few semi trucks here.

basically dry camping

Barely any cell service with T-Mobile

Great place to spend the night. Large paved parking lot. Six RVs here last night, and a couple of 18 wheelers. Also has a birding - nature walk trail. Get a parking place with a view of the Chesapeake Bay😍

Convenient access right before the toll gates. Well lit parking lot with lots of trucks. Bathrooms open 24 hours.

Report Check-In

Lot’s of space and not too busy. Next to trails for walking.

Report Check-In

Very quiet rest stop. There were several other rigs staying there and it felt very safe. Bathrooms are open 24/7 and there is access to a trail for the Eastern Shore of Virginia Wildlife Refuge. Great overnight stop

Report Check-In

Good huge rest stop and 48hrs limit sign.
Some highway traffic noise but not like interstate noise.
Couple campers and trucks are here.

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night. Large lot with spots for cars/vans/RVs/tractor trailers, good bathrooms, well lit. Signs saying 48 hours max. Stayed here in our camper van near the back of the bathroom building and away from the truck/RV area. We had a quiet and pleasant night’s stay. Would definitely stay again.

Report Check-In

Large lot and pet area, and even had a small walking trail behind the center. Bathrooms are open 24/7 and there’s also a small info center and a museum store. Outlets outside are unlocked, we were able to charge our Bluetti with no issue. Moderate road noise but you’re literally next to the Bay Bridge so that’s expected, did get a little quieter at night though.

Report Check-In

Arrived late at night and left early morning. Nice rest spot with amenities. Plenty of parking.

Report Check-In

Good stopover, huge lot, well maintained bathrooms, posted 48 hours max.
less truck noise behind the visitor building, the large parking truck side gets busy.

Report Check-In

Simple and great rest place. I’m a light sleeper and while I did hear the truck generators it didn’t seem to bother me when I was asleep. There is light noise of trucks pulling in and out. Overall I would stay here again if needed on my road trips

Report Check-In

Huge parking lot with no shade. Didn’t stay the night but a good rest stop

Report Check-In

Parking lot at the welcome center. Allows stays up to 48 hours. Lots of big rigs and RVs parked overnight. Some noise from the traffic and hum of the rigs, but we slept well. Nice little hiking trail into the refuge. Has Bathrooms and vending machines. Nice overnight stop.

Report Check-In

There are signs maximum stay 48 hours, but we stayed for 3 days and it was o.k. Internet is rather good. In the nearby Visitor Center you can fill water.

large parking with lights ouside and sevice erea. juste 2-3 semi truck, mw and anoter RV. Quitete and fells save enough.

Report Check-In

Rest stop pretty large with lots of parking. 2 other Rv’s and lots of trucks. Slept peacefully through the night, police patrolled and was not bothered.

Clean bathrooms open all night, no access to drinking water as far as I could tell. Is a short national wildlife walk right out of the parking lot.

Would recommend for an easy place to sleep right off the highway, although it isn’t beautiful.
