Something not right?

Description

As we had very strong wind we searched for a windsheltered space and found this spot which is surrounded by taller trees and away from the main road. Space for a car/van with rooftent, No infrastructure very quiet and protected.

Good recommandation ! We found a nice place a little after this spot. You are far enough from the highway. Several spot along this road, but first ones are closer to the highway.

Report Check-In

A nice good place. Great to see the Stars. We went there with our RV 23 feet 2WD and had no problems.

Report Check-In

Nice camping spot far enough from the main road that you can’t hear it. There is a camp fire spot and a nice wooded area to provide security from the wind. BEWARE TENT CAMPERS: there are a few tiny cacti (jumping cholla bits maybe) that were found mixed with the lumpy grass. Very hard to distinguish at night.

Report Check-In

Quiet and protected. Little Noise from the highway. Some spots are littered with broken glass and trash.

Report Check-In

Couldn’t find exact protected wind spot- but about 100 yds before this turnoff, plenty of similar spots. 2 bars Verizon

Please note: this area is National Forest and it’s allowed to stay here for free (max. 14 days).
Nice Place with enough space for bigger cars (not for trailers). Flat site with smaller trees. Very quiet!

Report Check-In

Many sites good for cars, vans, maybe a small trailer could turn around at the end of this particular road but I wouldn’t want to do it. Our 2WD van had no problem at all

Report Check-In

Stayed one night here after arriving late to Grand Canyon. Plenty of decent spots. Some a little messy with bullet casings and trash lying around. Some noise from highway nearby.
