Very relaxed small shop for drinks at the newly cleaned beachsite in Bukoba. After sunset most locals go home, no disco or music so very quiet. Kunta and his staff stay at the beach, play accoustic guitar sometimes, campfire... I ended up staying several nights. 10.000 tanzanian shillings to pitch your tent at the beach (per tent not per person). Local restaurant next door by Mama Samiraj (she used to be the cook for Kiroyera); chipsie mayai, rice, chicken, fish... Or use your own cooking gear at the beach. You can use the toilets at Kiroyera beach. When bridge is completed in jan 2020, rooftoptentcars can camp here as well. For now no problem passing by bicycle via beach. Ask for Kunta's place or see pics.

Since the water level rose the places on the lake are no more. We camped on the small beach at Bukoba Coop Hotel which is 100m beyond Spice Beach on the Shore road. Paid 70.000 for use of a room for showering and had dinner on the beach and slept at the sound of the waves. Ferry arrived at 7am.
