Quiet picnic area in the Northern Illinois woods/grasslands. Pit toilet, nearby trails, good cell signal. Other nearby spots had "No Camping" signs, but this spot felt OK and I had no trouble in the van.

Perfect place in the nature for spleeping in the calme. A little noise in the day due to road works.
Report Check-InI had added photos to my check-in but they didn’t register so I am trying again.
Report Check-InExcellent peaceful place to stay for a night. Was woke by people cleaning the toilets in the morning (by the work noises), but not bothered otherwise. No mosquitos at all!
Report Check-InNice spot! It’s a parking lot but is remote. There is in fact a sign that reads “park closes at 10:30 pm” but I get the sense it’s not much enforced. Certainly not so far (it’s midnight). There’s bathrooms, hiking trails. It’s quiet, although oddly from about 8 pm to 9:30, suddenly 4 different cars came to park here, each never got out - maybe they were teens having…premarital sex? Who knows?
