The First km after border are just asphalted, it is wide and easily passable. But After the Road became bad.

They start to paved the road. So some part are very good, but many km are dirty road and very bad.
Report Check-InNot so horrible but still in bad shape. It took us ~8h from Atyrau to reach the russian border, driving slowly compared to local taxi.
Report Check-Inthe road wasnt that bad. at places it's horrible, but we had an average of 45 km/h with 2 persons on a motorcycle.
the new road is almost ready in a lot of places. sometimes we drover over the barriers to use the new road. the last 60 km, to the border is already perfect new road, so don't take the detour there.
Road from Atyrau do russian border (whole 280km) is in horrible condition. 40 km from the border the reconstruction has started but far away from finishing. It took us app. 9 hours.
It's comparable to the road in Uzbekistan - 60 km part from KZ-UZ border.
