Description

This is a great campground for a first night on the Oregon coast. It is a very nice State Park campground with great beach access under a highway 101 overpass. A Beautiful old growth loop-system campground with full hookups, tent sites (good selection), hot showers, clean bathrooms, but no wifi available. It is not free (which is hard to do in Oregon) but the price was $17 (update: $21/night May 2022) for a tent site. Be sure to check the pay period dates though as we were there in a "Discovery" period ($17 was between Oct 1-Apr 30).

Good spot for 1 night. huge family campground with tent, rv and yurts. right on the ocean. booked a few weeks ago. free showers and flush toilets.

Great campground, and couldn't believe the price ($23 for tent site) after coming from CA. Free hot showers, water, trash. The website indicates that you can't camp in your car/van/rv in a tent site, but this doesn't seem to be the case. We showed up, asked for a tent site and they didn't bat an eye at our van. Also, lots of other campers in vans/popups.

We splurged to spend two nights here for the close proximity to surf beaches. Back-in-site with no services is $23 a night. We found showers, HOT showers, in the F loop and they were FREE! The campsite is really nice with lots of big trees, clean flush toilets, and beach access. We weren't able to get any Stinky reception at our spot in the C loop but there is cell reception

Nice woodsy campground. Full hookups available, but we paid $21 for a tent site. Reservations available but not on same day. We were there during off season, so there were lots of open spaces. We were able to pay at the pay station after closing with a credit card. Very close to the beach!

Standard Oregon State Park, sites are fairly close to each other but little bit of green space between. Some sites for trailers have sewer hookups at the sites

Report Check-In

Well-maintained variety of sites from full RV hook-up sites to basic tent camping sites.
$21/night, walk-in. looks like every site has a picnic table and a solid surface asphalt strip for a vehicle.
Had 2 bars T-Mobile, and full speed internet with my SkyRoam mobile wifi hotspot once it found a provider.
Water spigots every few sites. Fire pits.
Sites were level, and many of the basic tent sites were nestled among the many tall trees in the C-loop.
It seems like you need to make a reservation online for dates beyond the middle of May to some time in the fall. Recommend looking that up before to head there.
Very convenient location, right beside the 101, so it was great stopover as I was inching my way north.
Even on a stormy day that it was, the dense and tall tree cover quieted the wind and made the stay more comfortable.
Showers, water, trash, and a quick walk to the beach.
Decent sized sites, some of them, so take a good look around the loop before you choose one.
Check in said 4pm, but I moved in at noon as the place was mostly empty and the staff didn't seem to care.
Check-out said 1pm.
Couldn't hear any 101 traffic noise. Quiet except for birds and the wind.
Very nice place for the money.

Quite a lovely place! It was easy to check in without a reservation, and in mid-March the place wasn’t packed- though I could imagine it would be later in the year. In the future, if there’s vacancy when I’m around that area, i will definitely go again!

Got a walk up spot day of, a tent site we could park our van in. People were nice and bathrooms and showers clean and water hot. Cell service, but barely. Really nice beach!

Awesome place. 21$ for a quiet camp site. Showers, fire pit, beach access and friendly staff. Full marks

Report Check-In

Love this campground! It’s a popular one so if you don’t make reservations you may not get in.

Report Check-In

actually decided to stay, 21$ a tent site, absolutely beautiful, out of a fairytale, bundles of firewood for 5$, fire pits on every site, right on the beach, toilets very clean, hot showers for free and 2$ only, unlimited for non campers, quiet, really worth it

Report Check-In

Great stay on off-season with great showers!

We had a lot of fun here (Although it rained a lot). The Sites are huge! The Park has a lot of options for the $17.00 tent sight (Oct 1-Apr 30) and the price goes up for the extra amenities - they do have hookups available if needed. We chose our site because it was beautiful. We were pretty happy under the old forest canopy and had planned to have a fire but then it poured (oh well). The washrooms were nice and neat, as were the showers and they did have potable water. Check out the beach as well, as you get to it under the overpass, along a tidal creek (with some neat history on the way). Never turn your back on the ocean though.
