Limited amenities, but groups have good times. camp anywhere or in established sites. bring firewood and enjoy the good location with No fees.

fairly clean. full enough that folks were finding spots further along dusty creek road.

Still free. 6 or 7 spots under the trees, some with grills and picnic tables. pit toilet and trash containers.

Lots of garbage, one site has som water jugs and trash laying around, another has several chair and a mountain of garbage/ water bottles jugs and food stuff just piled up another site has so e people that definitely seem very homeless , may be their stuff at the other site. these sites have no privacy and are a few dozen feet apart. the 3 sites (1 looks like someone left a small camper there permanently) further down the gravel Rd are much better

Stayed for 5 nights at end of Feb 2023. Pretty busy on the weekends, I got there around 7pm on a friday and there were two sites left (out of 7 or 8). Not too busy during the week. If you can’t get a designated aite with a table, you can stay anywhere along Dusty Level Rd., since its National Forest land there aren’t restrictions on setting up shop for the night and there are already a bunch of pull-offs with fire rings on the way to the campground.

Side-note: there is a black, long-haired dog (maybe a Lab?) who frequents the campground looking for food. The owners live down the road and they let him walk the road to visit the campground by himself. I don’t agree with this personally, because when I found him he looked lost because was way down the road away from the campground and animal control told me that it was a neighborhood dog and there is no leash law so if he’s not aggressive they can’t do anything so they said it’s best to just ignore him

So glad we found this spot…it was a chilly Friday night and at 7pm we got the last spot. The sites are close together but everyone was considerate and quiet. Slept great. Wish we had time to check out the trails- there’s a map on site. Bathroom was a compost, clean with paper.

primitive dispersed camping .. 7 places for small RV or tent. good gravel road in. pit toilet trash cans trails.

Decent free campground with maybe 5-6 sites, clean pit toilet with tp even! Garbage cans. Stayed one night, quiet except when generators are running. Decent Verizon service.

Good spot. Quiet. Friendly respectful folks. Beautiful forest. Great hiking trails. Verizon 2 bars LTE. Toilet in bad shape. I stayed three nights and would return.

Still a free site dispite other reviews. No word on paying. Super pretty campsite. Middle of the Forrest. There were some weird people staying here but everyone was chill. Bathrooms were pits that were broken and almost full, don’t reccomend using if there isn’t an emergency. But overall nice site for a night. 5 sites but there is room for plenty more. About 20 people were here with us and still room

No longer closed due to covid! Nice small campsite in the woods with a (not very clean) put toilet. Free now, but there’s a sign that it will cost $10 a night starting in 2021. 2 bars Verizon lte. Spots not very private. One really nice private spot if you have a tiny van/car - follow the gravel road to the right after entering and the spot is to the left of the gate in the trees.

free campground. easy road in and out. will accommodate larger trailers and small rvs. about 5 sites right up front more if you follow the road back picnic tables and fire pits plus pit toilet and hiking trails

*note* ran into locals who informed me that it is believed that Bigfoot lives in local abandoned mines and that Bigfoot hunters do frequent the area. So, if rocks hit your tent at night or if your trailer feels as though it was pushed, I was told this is kind havock that he likes to create. We did not experience any of this. What do you think? Do you believe?
