A beautiful spot to wild camp, large bushy area amongst the power lines.
There is a work shed nearby, but had no issues. Had one person walk past in the morning who was friendly.
Mobile data connectivity is there, however not very strong for voice call. Streaming worked with little interruptions.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
If you want to be perfectly alone and hidden, follow the track under the power line until you find another well marked track on the right. It goes to an abandoned house under a big mango tree.
Nobody saw us here, although we heard locals along the main road.
Exact GPS coordinates are (-5.2696550, 38.5078988)
Report Check-InWe stayed here for one night and found the place to be nice an quiet once you are away from the main road. Few people around, but nobody came to talk to us.
Report Check-InIt works. The White Parrot in Korogwe was closed for renovations so I went to this spot. I didn’t feel good about pitching a ground tent here so I slept in the car. Quite a few people walked by in the morning although everyone were friendly. But it’s away from the road and it’s better than paying for some run down place in Korogwe.
